Dalek Mod 1.16 Dev Blog #1 (Plan phases!)

Hello! This a more in-depth version of something I posted in our Discord's Beta Access channel.

This will go over my current work plan the new Dalek Mod. This is being written as of the end of October, and we have a couple other developers that have their own concepts too. So this is subject to later adjustments.



Phase 1: CORE RELEASE

NOVEMBER

Dalek Mod's 1.16.5 Update (Part 1)
(Main focus: Daleks & TARDISes)
The first release of Dalek Mod for 1.16+ Minecraft, has been completely remade from the ground up. This is something we haven't done since 2015, and because of this had a lot of reconsideration to do. We've planned a lot, but it's first update will contain mostly WIP content and be pretty small. It'll be focused on the core content.



Phase 2: EXPLORATION

DECEMBER

Dalek Mod's 1.16.5 Update (Part 2)
(Main focus: Structures & Skaro)
Along with more building materials, this will also start to introduce structures throughout the overworld, and also the planet Skaro. This will begin finalizing the sense of progression, similar to Vanilla Minecraft's Overworld->Nether->End structure.

JANUARY (Subject to reschedule)

Dalek Mod's 1.16.5 Update (Part 3)
(Main focus: Outer Space)
With the third release, Outer Space will be the main goal, this will feature a multitude of biomes, spaceships, and trading stations to find. Outer Space is planned to be the biggest and most central dimension in the Dalek Mod.



Phase 3: ADVENTURE


FEBUARY (Subject to reschedule)

Dalek Mod's 1.16.5 Update (Part 4)
(Main focus: Dungeons & Mobs)
In the fourth release, further dimensions and adventure will be worked on with more expansive dungeon content such as the Anti-Zone, and dead TARDISes. These will be explorable generating dungeons that allow you to collect and use loot and materials as you see fit, and as well some dangers of mobs along with.

OooOoOh, that's a lot of stuff to do :D I'm happy that you are finally annoucing release date to month, not a day, because i'm getting more and more bored when the release is delayed (and i understand why, keep doing it - you are amazing :) . Now i'm really excited about things, that will release (and i hope) soon!

 It's definitely a lot more workable instead of specific days, because even though they still might sometimes be delayed, it gives us a more open window based on how long those features might take!
