can someone explain to me why the Tardis is a plant now (Tardis coral) I feel the 1.16.5 update is cool but the mod is just completely different and/or random

In the episode "Journeys End" , The (10th) Doctor Gifts Rose Tyler a chunk of TARDIS Coral so that The Metacrisis Doctor and her can grow their own TARDIS and protect the alternate Universe.
Its also stated several times threw Doctor Who's History that the TARDIS is a living thing, and must grow.
From a Minecraft pov, It helps with a survival aspect. Makes the TARDIS take time to achieve, since its supposed to be an end game item
