[A wee bit of logic] What NOT to put in threads or what not to do across multiple threads. Please read it. You might find it helpful.

Okay. I've seen [14] different things that either do not belong in posts and kinda bug me or are left out of posts, which still bugs me.. So here is a recomendation thread of what you should not do when creating a thread.

 1. Don't put "1WTC OR ADMIN PLZ READ" in the title. There is about a .0000001% chance that John will care about your thread because he's a very busy man. Also the Admins will likely read it at some point so adding that only makes them want to read it less and will cause procrastination.

 2. Don't ask to be unbanned in somebody else's unban appeal. It's annoying and just rude.

 3. Please don't argue with the staff. Their jobs are already hard and you arguing with them will just piss them off.

 4. Don't post things in the wrong section. Random chats don't go in suggestions. "Unban meh"s don't go in creations. Etc.

 5. Don't make 8 ban appeal threads. Don't even make 2. You only need ONE!

 6. Please use correct capitalization, spelling, and punctuation.

 7. If you want to comment on a thread, please have a reason for doing so.

 8. DON'T FLAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 9. Don't be rude just for the sake of being rude.

 10. Don't demand to be unbanned. There is not a single thing that gives you the power to demand anything from the SWDTeam or Staff.

 11. Don't cause drama. It make everybody uncomfortable.

 12. Avoid posting or commenting if you're in a bad mood. You might do something you regret.

 13. Please don't comment on your own post 10 times in a row with only one or two word comments.

 14. Don't try to defend yourself by illogically stating how old you are. It has no effect on your case and will not help you in the slightest.

If you have suggestions for additions or edits, please let me know.

Finally a post about this! You should also add: Do not act like you are staff

Finally a post about this you should also add : do not act like staff

I'm sorry, but I cannot understand that post in it's current state. Could you reword that?

No need to be sassy.

You should add one more thing as it is very annoying for most users and it can upset the user it's directed at. Add: Don't "Shoo" people.

Great post!

One issue with it, however. In number 9, it says "pointlessly old". Shouldn't it be "pointlessly on old"?

But good job, besides that.

Number 7 hasn't got a capital at the beginning :p lol

I agree with this thread, if people are good anyway then they don't get banned by staff... So people dont even try to get unbanned. Handle actions with your mind.. :)

I got a few to add:

-Don't post irrelevant things on other people's threads, such as 'Shaane cAN yUo ask curios wy I'm nut unbanned yet?' On a TARDIS creations thread.

-when dealing with an unban appeal, you aren't staff, meaning don't say what you think is the final result. You may suggest what you think, but it's not up to you.

I'd add:

 1. Don't spam on Moderator profiles just because you got banned. The staff check all ban appeals that come in
 2. Don’t encourage misbehaving users
 3. Think Before you post (This is in general)

 4. Try to keep yourself informed on what reference posts exist, what subforums exist, and familiarize yourself with which kind of posts go in which section

 5. Be kind and polite, and respectful to other forum users

 6. Keep your patience when met with any troublesome/bothersome users.

 7. Don't cause drama
 8. Edit your last post if you need to. No need to spam a thread one reply after the next.

 9. Don't whine and complain if an Admin says “No” or if the rules say “No”.

I'd add:

 1. Don't spam on Moderator profiles just because you got banned. The staff check all ban appeals that come in
 2. Don’t encourage misbehaving users
 3. Think Before you post (This is in general)

Good, good, OK, so Also like Curious mentioned "Don't post irrelevant things" like "Number 7 hasn't got a capital at the beginning :p lol" that is obvious and he did that on purpose, I know you probably knew that so you don't need to start up a fuss, also I'd add:

 • Don't post posts that only have like 1 sentence, they should be decently long so people think you're formal.
 • also another thing is to place commas where they should be

This isn't a grammar lesson and its already in the post above.

 1. Use some punctuation It helps make your thread more readable It also gets you free hugs

May I have a free hug now?

This post is about to be streamlined for easier reading. This is going to be done for people who would not otherwise read "long" lists. This was a recommendation by 50ap5ud5.

If a ban appeal, grieving thread etc doesn't concern you please do not comment, staff will deal with it

How do I make it double space on the list? I want it to look less squished together.
