Letting you all know I have decided to build a custom tardis.  Maybe something with a Star Wars "Sith" theme.  I have started on a custom console of my own with Techne (see below pic).  I'll get the initial design done first then worry about the textures.

Just a question, how long have you been using Techne? If you are just starting I would not recommend doing consoles. I only did a console after 2 years of Techne models xD

 I made one as my second model hahaha, and it turned out actually better than creeper's 

although I had loads of experience doing it a million times in blender

 mind showing me this console of yours ?, cause if its your second ever techne model ill be very surprised

 my second ever techne model was a cube - just kidding, it was an exterior, I haven't got round to creating a console yet, I keep forgetting

 It's actually my first model in Techne.  Only started on this last night.  By having a crack at it, I can only get better.

 Depends on the program. Do you mean in Techne?

I started this thread because I'm excited about joining this community and am quite new to 3D models etc.

Unfortunately I don't have a mic so I am unable to speak to you directly.  Tight budget due to teenage kids.

However I have certainly no intention to discredit or upset anyone here.  I am just happy to share whatever creativity I do have.

 Not having a mic wouldn't be an issue, you could type aha, I don't wanna force anything on you though.

 All good mate.  I'm going to take some time with this Techne.  I like the way it works.  Totally impressed with your work, though.

I love the consoles you have done.  I just need to get on the creative server next week when my finances are freed up a bit better, and to figure out why I can't get the update 44 beta working (Java issues).

Finally got the Update 44 Beta up & running a few hours ago.  I must say I am impressed with the modelling & textures that the team has put together.  Great job, guys!

See below pic to see how I went with the beta today.  The layout is not perfect yet, but I will refine it a bit when I get more time on it. 

Also I have attached another pic which would make a great texture for this project as well.  Started on Photoshop today to add this to try some x128 textures.

Um, I would not use the wooden railings and iron bars, no offense but a horrible accuracy. The wooden rails is for the fourth Doctor's secondary. I suggest using the Toyota railings.

Looking good apart from that!

 Yeah I didn't have the Toyota railing in that specific texture pack, but I should be able to get my hands on some soon.
