Sonic Screwdriver Upgrades?

Hello! I watched this kicka-- video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtUZQj3p_wg

and thought:

woah thats cool, but why can't we do that in Dalek Mod? :o

Well, I have a suggestion! isnt that all i post?

I thought of an upgrading system that could make sonic screwdrivers more useful.

There will be three upgrading paths, something similar to this:

But instead of two paths, there will be three. (The game is Bloons Tower Defense 5)

I think the three paths should focus on different subjects:

NOTE: You can only choose one path!

Offensive: This path will be focusing on violence and conquering stuff. This set will be for people who want to use these 'screwdrivers' as weapons rather than a utility or a tool.

Convenience: This path will use luck to your advantage and turn your screwdriver into a Rabbit's Foot. Almost all of the upgrades depend on chance and luck.

Utility: This path will truly turn your screwdriver into a handy utility, like how it should be.

These upgrades will be expensive to produce overtime.

Common items that are required to upgrade are as follows:

Iron Ingots: They are often used for casing or to make durable parts for the screwdriver

Titanium Ingots: These exotic ingots are mostly used for most of the guts of the screwdriver

Zeiton-7 Crystals: These are used for the bright light. These are mixed together with LEDs

Plastic: These are molded to be PCBs, or circuit boards.

Gold Ingots: Makes everything better.. ;)

This isn't an exclusive list of materials that you need, other expensive items will be needed..

Here are some upgrades that I thought of for upgrades:

Offensive:

-Being able to pick up and throwing blocks with the screwdriver, similar to the Gravity Gun

-Summoning up to five Toclafanes to assist your killing deeds and carrying you around to let you fly.

-Being able to upgrade the standard screwdriver to the Laser screwdriver

-Having a taser

-Being a detonation device

-Converts TARDISes into Paradox Machines, with the help of 'exploits' and 'Merican elbow grease (Max of 1-2)

Convenience:

-Access you the ability to teleport into your TARDIS, no matter the location. (Will have a cool-down timer)

-Gives any random effect to nearby mobs, from Regeneration to Instant Damage. (Lasts 10-30 sec.)

-Having the chance to make aggressive mobs be passive for five seconds, or passive mobs be aggressive for five seconds

-Gives any random effect to you. List: Regeneration 1-2, Speed 4-5, Wither 1-2, Nausea 4-5, Fire Resistance 1-2, Resistance 1-2, Weakness 2-3, Absorption 2-3 (All positive effects last 8 seconds, all negative effects last 5-15 seconds)

Utility:

-Lets you activate/deactivate any redstone machine overtime, such as pistons, redstone torches, etc.

-Lets you put a tracking device on any mob/player (Range is 200 blocks)

-Lets you go into unlocked TARDISes (Encourages locking TARDISes)

-Lets you scan and save data about other players and mobs (Lets you keep up-to-date data about pets or allies idk)

-Lets you play MP3 files from your PC (idk why this would be useful lol)

-Having the ability to teleport to preset coords (Could be used to escape fights)

Now what about Sonic Shades?

Well I think it would be cool to shoot lasers from your eyes.

That's all I have today! Please suggest some upgrades and help me get this into the update cuz I think this could make sonic screwdrivers more useful then they currently are.. XD

i think the range for redstone should be lowered quite a bit,  as someone could do serious damage in a large redstone circuit if everything was activated at once,  and they might not even know its there

Maybe you can adjust the redstone signal you are sending? From 16 to 1?

yes that is alot better,  200 could affect alot of stuff,  like the command blocks in the bottom of spawn

Wait, that's the range for the tracking devices you can put on someone..

Tracking devices would be kinda neat IMO

it could be used as security,  rig up a thing where if someone opens your house doors it drops tracking devices on them, that way you can see who went into your house while you're not on! if they stole from unprivated chests, without messing with blocklogs,  it could easily allow admins to know who to check for stolen goods, and bring punishment.

The offencive capabilities can be toned down a bit, like for instance, the sonic can only pick up lighter blocks like sponge and wool, while not picking up stone and ores(if you try to it will display a messege: "Block too dense for phisical manipulation!").

I was thinking that the more you upgrade the offensive capabilities, the more weight the screwdriver can hold. What else needs to be toned down?

Maybe make it so the sonic screwdriver needs a core to be updated. Like a Utility Core Mark-I

Great Idea with the cores! Although I'm not sure about the recipes themselves.. a nether star for each offensive core!?! (I'm okay with the Laser Upgrade recipe)

Maybe we could have more items in order to craft the boards, like chips, wires, or toggle switches, not just plastic surrounding iron.. I initially thought of a crafting table-like block that can consume items and upgrade the screwdriver, and you have to wait, like how you would with a furnace.
