I, like many players, am very excited for the release of The Dalek Mod for 1.16 but I am curious, what will happen to the 1.12 version?

Will it be forgotten about?

Is update 63 the last 1.12 update?

Or will 1.16 be considered a different mod? so 1.16 will start on update 1, while the 1.12 version can continue to update 64, 70, 80, etc.

I am of the opinion (since many admins have said similar things) that the 1.12 mod will continue to be updated alongside the 1.16 mod until the 1.16 one becomes more popular. So I think that 1.12 updates will continue way into 2022. Then again, this is just my opinions

1.12 will continue for now (like we did with 1.7 when we moved to 1.8) until the majority of players move to 1.16.

1.12 will not get all of the same content as 1.16 however it will see some of the 1.16 features ported down.

As well as this the 1.12 DMU servers will remain online until most players have moved to the 1.16 servers.
