About the Dalek Mod Universe

What is the Dalek Mod Universe server?

The Dalek Mod Universe servers are the official Dalek Mod servers ran by SWDTeam.

There are two servers:
    - DMU Public - Available to everyone. It runs on the most recent publicly released version at the time. Players can only play survival on this server.
    - DMU Beta - Only available to our Beta Access members. It runs on the most recent release or beta build at the time. Players also have the ability to switch between creative and survival.

How do I get on the server?

When you start Minecraft with Dalek Mod, there will be a button on the title screen called Dalek Mod Server. This button will take you to a screen displaying options for both DMU Public and DMU Beta.

Rules and FAQs

When you first join the server, or rejoin after an extended period, the first thing you should do is check the rules. Spawn normally has a board with some general rules, however there may also be some listed somewhere in the custom /help command

Please keep in mind that not all rules are listed as it's impossible to do so, and just because something isn't listed, doesn't mean action cannot be taken.
Staff will usually give warnings and a chance for you to correct your behaviour, however try to use common sense to think about whether or not something may be against the rules.

If you're unsure whether something would be against the rules, ask a member of staff if they're online, or in the Discord's #support channel if not.

Staff on DMU are equipped with block logs - any block you break, place or interact with, they can see. Think twice before deciding to grief.

The server is also child friendly, as the main playerbase is children. Light swearing is allowed, however suggestive implications or talking about outright explicit topics are not.

Explicit topics include, but aren't limited to:
  - References to drugs
  - Anything with sexual implications

Ban appeals

If you happen to have been warned, muted or banned* by one of our server staff, appeal process not currently set up
* - If you were banned for 3 days or less, it is unlikely your ban appeal will be accepted.

Donating and ranks

Ranks can be obtained via the SWDTeam store - these will give you special privileges/permissions* on the server
* - These permissions are purely cosmetic in compliance with Minecraft's EULA, and are listed on their respective product pages

You can also purchase a Custom Rank, which allows you to set your own custom prefixes - one for in chat, and one for in the playerlist

Are there any groups/towns/factions to join?

Yes - users are able to freely create their own factions and towns, which can then be registered with staff to receive extra benefits.
Factions must be properly registered with staff due to major issues with prior factions - towns do not have the same requirement

Benefits factions get from being registered include:

A faction management system, with ranks and permissions
- This system allows for faction managers to assign specific permissions and ranks to users
- These permissions can allow users to invite or kick members from the faction

Advertisement in our Discord
- You can provide an invite link to your Discord server directly, or have it as invite on request

Benefits towns get from being registered include:

A proper town management system, with ranks and permissions
- The ranks and permission system allows allows for town managers (owner included) to assign specific permissions and ranks to users
- These permissions can manage players ability to break, place or interact with blocks.

An optional join request system
- You can turn on the requirement for users to request to join the town
- There's also a permission to allow certain ranks to accept these join requests

A warp at the spawn hub
- A teleport pad can be set up to take players directly from the spawn hub to your town
