I understand that I'm off topic. But I would like to know if there are people who understand mods for minecraft? Will a beginner like me be able to figure out such a fashion?

adding mods is pretty straightforward. Just download and run Minecraft Forge for the version you want and then drag and drop the mods you download into the mods folder in your .minecraft directory. I'm sure there's plenty of guides on YouTube that can help you out more. Especially visually
