Why you were banned: accused of using X-ray
Ban duration: One month
What were you doing last on the server: I was dismantling my TARDIS' console room to gather its materials to feed them into the ARS block so I could change the interior.
Why you think you should be pardoned early (Please keep this factual. We understand you are sorry that you got banned so please stick with the facts):
DMU is an old server, with many of its caves and mineshafts depleted of its major ores. To counter this I decided to adopt the simple strategy of mining in random directions at random moments in the hopes of stumbling across various veins; relying on Minecraft's random generation system to help me find the materials I need. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't, trouble is, the amount of successes I've had over the years seems to have accumulated into 'evidence' that V2RA has used to ban me.
I'll admit, sometimes I'm able to use Xero's minimap to help me avoid lava, but if necessary I'm prepared to go as far as showing you my OS to prove I do not use x-ray programs or hacking software of any kind to cheat on DMU.
Additionally, I would like to mention that my friend ItsNotBigTasty has experienced some tension with V2RA after my ban, which might have influenced perceptions.
From what he's told me, V2RA's refusing to listen to the counterarguments given, coming across as quite passive-aggressive and unprofessional in our humble opinion.
I can wait a month if I have to, but I humbly ask for a review of my case. I highly value my time on the server and would appreciate the opportunity to continue playing fairly.
Thank you for considering my appeal.
Best regards,
~Gallifrey14
Hello! I will be reviewing your case today.
Starting off, your strategy of "mining in random directions at random moments" raises the first red flag, mainly considering that you had a 100% success rate (not "sometimes") in finding the exact same ore each time. The screenshots provided also show methods of covering up your tracks that are extremely common among xrayers (see screenshot below).
The evidence that V2RA has provided was not accumulated over "several years"; all screenshots taken show the blocks were broken within the same week. The reason we have not listened to your counter-arguments is because appeals are only meant to be discussed through these forums, not anywhere else.
Therefore, I am denying your appeal. You will have to wait it out.
