Hello! I was bored and came up with this idea:
AN ANNUAL TARDIS INTERIOR CONTEST!
The contest will be about submitting your own TARDIS Interior(s) in order for them to be in the game. The build will be judged by three different groups of judges, the MOD group, the ADMIN group, and the SWD group.
The people in the group are as follows:
The MOD group is made up of the moderators for the SWD site and/or DMU server.
The ADMIN group is made up of the admins for the SWD site and/or DMU server.
The SWD group is made up of the ultra-admins, or maybe the team themselves if they want, for the SWD and/or DMU server.
I also though of four factors that the judges can rate the build:
ORIGINALITY:
The build will have to be an original work, not just a modification to the default interiors..
FOR EXAMPLE:
This interior I modified WOULDN'T work!!
This interior I built in a singleplayer world would work!
Point System:
4: It is an original idea that is fantastic!
3: It is a default interior-inspired interior, but it's still original and good!
2: I can see the default interior being used as a template, it's kinda original..
1: DUDE! It's literally just the 1963 TARDIS's interior, but has a white ceiling instead of black!
0: Not original..
A E S T H E T I C S :
The build would want to be used by the judges themselves, and fell like it would be an interior actually used in the show.
Point System
This point-system is split into two different categories that is summed up to the actual point.
"Would you use it?" + Realism
4: This is what I would use! 4: This would certainly be in the show!
3: I would use it often 3: It would be debated upon the BBC
2: Ehhhh.. 2: It would be a rough draft..
1: Only if someone dared me too. 1: It could be an idea..
0: HELL NO! 0: I can't see this anywhere in the show..
=
UP TO EIGHT POINTS!!
THEME:
There has to be a theme for the build, it can't just be nonsense! (Unless that's the theme. :P)
The theme will have to be understood in order to get points!
Point System:
The points is depending on how much the judges understand the theme.
The max that the judges can give is four points.
ORDER:
The groups will be in a certain order..
THE MOD GROUP goes first, for they check to see if it is worthy to be in the contest itself or not.
THE ADMIN GROUP goes second, reviewing the interior with the point systems. The interior has to have at least a 70% (11-12) to move onto the SWD GROUP.
THE SWD GROUP goes third, rechecking the interior using both the point systems and their own personal opinions. The judges of this group can make small changes to the interior.. (Each judge can make a max of two small changes). FOR EXAMPLE, the TOYOTA Handbrake can be replaced with the Default Demat lever. If enough of the judges vote positively for this change (70%), it will be changed in the mod. If the interior scores at least an 80% (13-14), it will be moved to the finals.
THE FINALS is when 1WTC himself sees which interior will be in the mod. The number of interiors that can be in the finals are 5-8. 1WTC has to approve at least one interior to be in the mod. He can make changes to whatever he needs. If an interior is won, the builder will have to provide their Discord, Skype, etc. and describe the exterior they think the interior should have. The builder can either use an already-used exterior, or request to model a new one.. (The builder has to give as much detail as possible..) Suggested by jh1226: The TARDIS item will have a custom name, provided by the creator of the interior, an example of this is Moosewood, and a description of the item will give the name of th player who made the interior and the year he/she won the contest..
EDIT: I just thought of this now: so I think two interiors should be approved, then the SWD Community votes on which interior goes into the mod.
Well that's all I can think of right now. I know that this will take a lot of effort into the SWD Team's part, and I appreciate their dedication! If there is any changes you'd like to see, just let me know.. :-)
I love this idea and I can't wait to judge the interiors!
Note: If the suggestion gets allowed. (Not sure if we talked about it in the staff chat just woke up.)
Just a quick question, can we use other mods? Like the architecturecraft mod, furniture mod, malisis door mod etc? It makes the mod more realistic and interesting and adds a lot of variety to what we builders could do (though there are few mods for 1.8).
A suggestion: The TARDIS interiors which have won the competition could get a custom TARDIS entry in the creative menu, the name of the TARDIS is the name provided by the creator, at the bottom should say "[year]'s TARDIS custom interior winner"
By the way, good idea! I can't wait to submit my entry, if it's going to happen!
Even tho I am not the one that created the suggestion, I think he means the tardises need to be build on private or public since mod, admin and swd needs to check it and it probaly will be annoying if we need to download alot of maps. But like I said I am not the one created this so he can correct me if I am wrong.
I know I already uploaded this before, but I wanted to enter this because it's my best TARDIS so far.
Just a message to some people, could you put the images in a spoiler? It would make it nicer.

Yeah, you're probably right
Deleted everything until i know this is an official contest, i forgot this was still in the suggestion stage.
Though i will be looking forward to entering if this gets aproved, and it gets my full support.
although my interiors are all on single-player, and my minecraft doesn't seem to want to cooperate with dalek mod at the moment. If needed i can give a world download or schematica files
even tho I am not the one that suggest it, it isn't smart to send interiors already since the person that suggested it didn't said a theme.
Edit: I think you can still show them if the person that suggested the idea is fine with it.
oh... right, should i make like a cyberman and delete?

But the post only said that it needs to have a theme…

Or maybe we could post pictures of the TARDIS we wanted to participate in, and allow the mods to judge whether it should be qualified to enter the competition. The creator should provide discord or whatsoever methods of contact so if it gets dominated, the creator gets a message to send the world to the SWDTeam with coordinates of the TARDIS. Maybe we could decide the number of nominees?

No, it has to be only vanilla and dalek mod blocks

Wait, this is going to be a thing? XD
