To Whom it May Concern,
My username is Popcultureman. I have not used The Dalek Mod for quite some time now, until I found out that it had been updated to the most recent version of Minecraft (1.12). As a result, this has been my first experience on the DMU servers and I must say I am very pleased with the community and the level of effort that has gone into every detail of the mod since 1.7.10
I have been given a temporary suspension for four days due to the griefing of Wrig9's house and Tardis_Team's chests.
The specific ban length is until 2017-12-29 20:37:32 CET
The last thing I was doing was renovating the interior of my newly acquired TT Capsule.
As to why my suspension should potentially be lifted early, I can with some embarrassment say it was due to my own ignorance as a newcomer to the server. I am, in fact, such a 'noob' to these sorts of things that this is my first post to the forum (I only registered to the site specifically for this appeal). I would assume that players would join the server simply to shoot for a TARDIS and then have fun exploring the map and meet other players along the way. As such, any structure they had built prior to constructing their Capsule was simply for survival purposes, until they had the materials necessary for TARDIS construction, then promptly abandoned in favor of their new portable home. This is why I saw no problem in using the chests in Tardis_Team's base, nor utilizing some staircase material from Wrig9's house (Which I stumbled upon while searching the Nether for material). In both cases, their mines were stripped of any valuable resources and their chests were empty save for superfluous cobblestone and other cave blocks that anyone would discard whilst mining. To me, that meant they had transferred any valuables into their Capsules and cleared out, so I thought I would use whatever was left until I followed suit and the next newcomer could then benefit. (That is as factual as I can claim and should not be in any way a menial 'excuse' for my actions)
Apparently I had received two warnings according to the ban screen, however I haven't the faintest idea of where they would have appeared. Email would have been impossible since (as stated above) I was not registered until the writing of this appeal, and in-game chat messages would have been just as ineffective among the cluster of various conversations simultaneously occurring between various groups of players.
Nevertheless, I have learned from my mistake in assuming what I cannot confirm, and will be more mindful of it once my suspension is lifted (be it early or not).
Thank you for your time and consideration in reading my appeal, and have a wonderful rest of your day!
Sincerely,
ThePopcultureman
The weird and unneeded overuse of a thesaurus/dictionary aside,
Please use the proper ban appeal formatting so we don't have to read a giant wall of text just for a 4 day ban.

Dear Weirdo,
My apologies, I will certainly keep this much more brief than my initial post.

Why you were banned: The griefing of Wrig9's house and Tardis_Team's chests.
Given Ban Length: Appx. four days (2017-12-29 20:37:32 CET)
What were you doing last on the server: Renovating the interior of my newly acquired TT Capsule.
Why you think you should be pardoned early:
While I do apologize for my actions, I do not intend to excuse them. I am entirely at fault, however, I simply wanted to state my case; That is to say, I honestly didn't know.
It was my assumption as a newcomer to the server that structures built by players were temporary until they constructed a TARDIS, at which point they were promptly abandoned (since a TARDIS is more-or-less a portable home). This idea was reinforced when, upon stumbling across Wrig9's and Tardis_Team's homes, I found chests empty and mines stripped of any valuable ores. As a result, I did take some stairs from Wrig9 and use some chests in Tardis_Team's base for my own storage, figuring that what they left behind I could use until I got my TARDIS, and then I could follow suit for the benefit of the next player to come along. Evidently, as I found out this morning, those bases were not abandoned and I was, in fact, suspended from the server on the grounds of griefing.
I am only appealing for an early lift on the grounds of my err being the honest mistake of a 'noob'.
Nevertheless, if I cannot receive an early lift, I am perfectly fine with the terms of the suspension and will be more mindful of such actions in the future.
Thank you for the reply!
Sincerely,
ThePopcultureman
Could you please stop with the giant blocks of text. That was hardly brief and your need to seem intelligent is equally as annoying. Please don't make it some big formal thing. It's a ban on a Minecraft server. Chill out.

Why you think you should be pardoned early:
I honestly did not realize the homes which I had used for my own needs were still occupied by others, they seemed rather abandoned so I saw no problem in just using them briefly before making a TARDIS and bailing as well.
Knowing now that my assumptions as a newcomer to the server were incorrect, I understand and agree that my actions were, indeed, griefing.
I am only appealing for an early lift on the grounds of my err being the honest mistake of a 'noob'.
If I cannot receive an early lift, I am perfectly fine with waiting out the suspension and will be more mindful of such actions in the future.
I am sorry about the nuisance. It was not my intent to come across as such.
I hope you still have a wonderful day (or evening, time-zones and all that) and thank you again for the time you have taken to review my appeal.
Right, hello, I was the admin who had issued the ban on you.
1. The server has made new changes which one of them requires you to read all the rules and to accept them. So whether or not that base/building was abandoned or "seemed rather" abandoned, does not make up for you taking resources off players, even if they are inactive. 2. I had extended your time as there were 2 occasions were you violated the DMU rules. Furthermore, your ban will not be lifted early as there are no good reasons to why you should be allowed back onto the server early.
Hopefully this thread will be locked.
Sincerely,
Ramen
