Introductions (Skip if you want to head straight to the suggestion)
It's been a while since my last suggestion (No the forums one doesn't count). I hope everyone hasn't missed me too much while I was gone. Anyway, I'll get right into it.
This thread is the first of a series of suggestions for Bessie. For anyone who hasn't watched the Third Doctor's era, Bessie is more than a mere automobile. The Doctor put many devices and technology in it, and I hope to cover most of these devices in this series on Bessie in addition to some things to just make using the car more fun overall without breaking canon. To start with something simple, here's a suggestion to make Bessie a bit more customizable: paint jobs.
Item Name: (Color goes here) Paint Job
Sprite Description: A bucket filled with a color of the respective dye used to craft it.
Ingredients: A bucket and 8 dyes of the same color.
Use: When used on a Bessie, its color changes to that of the paint job. The bucket used is kept in the player's inventory (but empty).
Purpose: This is just something a little fun That I thought up that can enhance the user's experience with Bessie.

Any other Information: There could perhaps be a choice of patterns or special easter eggs that can be obtained via cheats or crafting the paint job a certain way, but I'll get to that another day. Also, any feedback, ideas, or anything else anyone has to say in regards to this are welcome and appreciated
Item Name: Remote Control
Sprite Description: A remote control as seen in the video below.
Ingredients: A battery, some plastic, and some metal.
Use: Like with Tardis Keys, Remote controls can be bound to Bessies by shift-clicking on them with a remote control in hand. After doing so, right clicking will allow a player to drive Bessie using the remote control. While remote controlling Bessie, the player's perspective will switch to Bessie- much like how controlling the Tardis works. When controlling Bessie, however, a clone of the player with the same armor and health is left where he or she began controlling Bessie. If this clone dies, so does the player. A message will appear in the chat if the player's clone is in any danger. Shift clicking while holding the remote will open a small GUI. There will be a recall button and a permissions button. The permissions button allows you to change the permissions on Bessie from afar so as to pick up someone on the way. (Remote control takes priority over driver input, by the way). The second button cycles through 3 options when clicked: recall to point, recall to player, and stop recall. If Bessie is recalled to point, it will attempt to drive to the place the player sent the command from. Bessie will not go into fluids or over chasms. If Bessie cannot reach the player and hits an obstacle, a message will appear in the player's chat. For recall to player, Bessie will target the player rather than the location the command was sent from. The same conditions apply. Stop recall will be auto-switched to upon reaching a destination or obstacle or if the owner disconnects from the server or world. Stop recall is also the default setting.
Purpose: This is just something a little fun That I thought up that can enhance the user's experience with Bessie.

Any other Information: Again, any feedback, ideas, or anything else anyone has to say in regards to this are welcome and appreciated
Name of Feature: Hyperspeed Switch
Description: A switch in Bessie that makes it hit incredible speeds
Source: "The Time Monster"
How should this be implemented: Activated by pressing a certain key while driving Bessie
How does this affect gameplay: It eases travel and makes Bessie into more of the tricked out car that it is in the show.
Image(rough sketch/draft acceptable):
Any other information: Again, any feedback, ideas, suggestions, or anything at all to say in regards to this suggestion is appreciated.
Name of Feature: Inertia Absorbing Brakes
Description: A feature of Bessie that allows for an instant and safe stop, regardless of current velocity
Source: "The Time Monster"
How should this be implemented: Activated by pressing a certain key while driving Bessie
How does this affect gameplay: It eases travel and makes Bessie into more of the tricked out car that it is in the show.

Name of Feature: Bessie GUI
Description: A feature of Bessie that allows for modification of the seats, canopy, and permissions
How should this be implemented: When control-clicking Bessie, a menu pops up with 5 slots and five buttons. These slots respectively are Driver's Seat, Passenger's Seat, Backseat, Backseat, and Canopy. The buttons are Open Bessie Perms, Pet on, Pet off, Alt Models, and Toggle Canopy. A chest can be put in any of the four empty (no player or pet can be in it) seat slots (just know that Bessie can only be towed or remote controlled with a chest in the Driver's Seat (more on towing later). Pet on puts the closest owned pet (standing ones are prioritized) into one of the non-driver seats (if all non-driver seats are taken, the driver's seat is taken). Pet off puts a pet outside Bessie (driver's seat is prioritized if a pet is in it). Bessie permissions can be used to decide who can interact with your Bessie (this one actually has basis in the show: the Anti-Theft device from "Ambassadors of Death"). Toggle canopy opens and closes the canopy. The canopy slot would allow for putting in a different canopy from the default. I imagine crafting a canopy and crafting that with dye to create a colored canopy. Maybe there could be alt canopy models, perhaps even a glider. The alt model acts like the chameleon circuit, but I'll get to that in feature 6.
How does this affect gameplay: This would add a bunch of functionality to Bessie that would enhance the gameplay experience.

Any other information: Again, any feedback, ideas, suggestions, or anything at all to say in regards to this suggestion is appreciated.
Name of Feature: Passenger GUI
Description: A way to choose which seat to sit in
How should this be implemented: When Bessie is shift-clicked, 4 buttons will be displayed: Driver, Passenger, Backseat L, and Backseat R. Each will put the player in the respective seat if not already taken. Right clicking Bessie normally will put the player in the first available seat, prioritizing the driver seat if empty.
How does this affect gameplay: This would allow more than one person to ride in Bessie, just like in the show
Any other information: Again, any feedback, ideas, suggestions, or anything at all to say in regards to this suggestion is appreciated.
Name of Feature: Bessie Towing
Description: The ability to tie a horse and Bessie together with a leash and tow Bessie while riding the horse.
How does this affect gameplay: I imagine this could have use for roleplaying, and along with the chest idea would allow for transporting many items easier (even though it would be slower than just driving Bessie)
Any other information: Again, any feedback, ideas, suggestions, or anything at all to say in regards to this suggestion is appreciated. Also, I'm not sure if this one can already be done or not as I haven't played in a while. Correct me if so. XD
Name of Feature: Alt Models
Description: The ability to use alternate models for Bessie.
How should this be implemented: A button accessed through the Bessie GUI opens a menu similar to the Chameleon circuit GUI which shows different models for Bessie such as the Delorean, Gravity Falls Go-cart, and possibly a few others. All models function exactly the same.
How does this affect gameplay: This allows for more fun, roleplayability, and customizability with the choice of transportation.
Any other information: Again, any feedback, ideas, suggestions, or anything at all to say in regards to this suggestion is appreciated.
A number of the features suggested here would also work for the standalone (not just Bessie with the alt model but the one that teleports when struck by lightning) Delorean: Passenger GUI, towing, a high speed option, and RC functionality (which I wouldn't put past Doc Brown to put in the Delorean).
Coming soon: I'm planning on updating the lightning rod and cyberman compilation suggestions sometime soon.
This is an interesting idea! You should also be able to add special items to Bessie to give it a special ability, like extra speed or defense, sort of like adding chests to donkeys or armor to horses.
Got the Musket support. I love this idea, Arc.
This is actually quite nice idea. I mean just think how funny it would be to ride around in pink bessie.
It has my support and I feel that it is much needed for the mod to make things more customizable.
Thanks for the support!

I can add some sort of GUI that allows for putting chests in empty seats into the suggestion. Could you perhaps elaborate on the special items idea you have? Are they consumables, equippables, etc? It sounds interesting.
Thread Update: Added Hyperspeed Switch and Inertia absorbing brakes. I'll add in either the chest GUI or Remote control functions tomorrow
Another update: I added most of what was left to this thread. Remote controls, passenger seats, etc.
I must have went back in time a bit too far after that last trip, is this a new Arcphoenix suggestion?
I love these ideas, the Third Doctor era was one of my favorites of the show. They're pretty creative, and would really add to gameplay/role play. But I hate the paint job suggestion; Bessie is yellow, that's it…just kidding.
Also, I think the sprite description for the remote control may be wrong, it's identical to that of the first item.

Nope, it's 2018. I'm glad to be posting again. Thanks, and it is wrong. I sometimes copy sections and change the details to get around having to reformat stuff. I'll fix it in the OP
I love this idea because it's giving more attention to the cars in the Dalek Mod. If you could do this to the Delorean too that would be even better.

Thank you. I added a feature to the OP allowing for changing Bessie's model. The Delorean would a choice for an alt model, though it would be separate from the standalone Delorean in the mod which, if I recall correctly, teleports when struck by lightning.
I also added a note at the end about the standalone Delorean
