Official Recipe Suggestions Thread

Hello everyone! As some of you may know, I was recently brought back on as the recipe maker for the Dalek Mod.
Now last time I had this job I did it sloppily and at various different states of sanity, which is why a lot of the recipes are all over the place.

This time around I want to include the community on the process so that people

who've played the mod for a while can weigh in their opinions and relay what they wish to be fixed or added in crafting.

 

First and foremost, please keep suggestions reasonable, it has to be stuff already existing in either Minecraft or the DM.

If you have a suggestion for new items specifically for crafting purposes you can leave it  in your suggestion but please  know it makes it less likely to be added.

Suggestions can include what items to make craftable and/or how to craft them. It must be at least one of these things.

Finally, please know that I can not make Furnace recipes, only crafting table ones, shaped or shapeless.


 

What's already being worked on

 

-- Overhaul TARDIS crafting recipes, making them harder to craft (because it's essentially a god machine)

and making the recipes make a little more sense.

 

--  Sonics, Guns, TARDIS Controls and Holograms are at the top of my list. Done

-- Roundels, Clothes, Consoles, Christmas stuff and other misc stuff are planned but are considered low priority.

Update:

Figured I should update this as all recipes I had planned for U51 are now done

What will be included in U51:

All TARDISes and their respective Cartridges
All usable TARDIS controls, cosmetic ones were not made craftable yet
All guns and weapons (except for the UUID locked ones of course)
All gadgets, including a Sonic Shades variant for every sonic device (excluding non-sonic looking ones)
All clothing (except for some modeled hats)
All plastic and clockwork blocks (the recipe for plastic was tweaked to 1 dye and 1 block = 1 dyed plastic)
All the candy cane blocks and other Christmas stuff
All food
also Holograms are craftable

A lot of recipes were also changed and tweaked because I felt they weren't that great, or smaller things were made craftable that I've just forgotten. The bigger things that were tweaked were the sonics, they now all use sonic crystals and stained glass rather than precious gems to reduce cost while also keeping them hard to get. 
I unfortunately didn't keep an exact log because I'm horrible with remembering to do so, so a lot of it will have to be discovered once the update comes out.
I didn't end up including everything I wanted to in this update due to certain changes coming to the mod, because of this a lot of my original plans will be delayed until U52.

I hope you guys enjoy these new recipes, I tried to put as much thought and effort into them as I could. If you hate any of them on release feel free to call me a terrible person and burn me at the stake.

 

 

 

For the Tardis Overhaul:

Here's my own take on the Chameleon Cartridge for the First Doctor's Tardis, (Hartnell).

The TT Capsule represents a Shell item (which I've already explained to you)

 

The base of Cartridges should be more consistent as well, as of right now. So for example:

The item in the middle "definition" (defines which cartridge is what, in this picture it's the rotor)

is either the doctor's rotor or sonic screwdriver.

 

On to the topic of Sonic screwdrivers now:

Here's a base sonic screwdriver, pretty similar to the one we have right now. For the actual sonics such as 12th doctors, I believe it may be smart  to use dyes instead of minerals.

Moving on to more different functionalities.

How about guns?

Here's a Gauss Rifle example.

Titanium Grip, with steel, electronic circuits. Eye of Ender for the weird alien design it has. For the functionality of the gun we have clock work set on top of Brass.

Here would be the "general format" for it, the middle center and middle bottom would be the "definition" of the gun.

More mechanics:

titanium, clock work for processing, redstone stuff, coal for fuel, then in the middle; any MEATS would make the food machine.

Here's an interesting one:

Tardis Key, since the one in the mod is just used for locking and summoning, the gold is the key bit, and the enderpearl is for the special teleportation ability.

For those prop consoles, that don't work, here's an idea for the recipe.

Here's some screenshots of some of the recipes I've done so far https://imgur.com/a/8QxYIlY, these are not all of them. Some of these may even change before the next update. Just wanted to update people on what's going on.

Perhaps make a recipe for coral stone, then allow players to put it in a crafting table to cycle through the variants, this could also be done with Toyota blocks, and it would allow you to play a proper survival game

I feel like the elytra may be a bit expensive as the umbrella is much less powerful than the actual elytra. Otherwise, good recipe.

 I agree, which is why the recipe is pretty similar, but without elytra.
