For some strange reason I updated my minecraft username to be "TheDerangedDoc" and in chat it still comes up with my OLD username "georgepoppy". But my new username still comes up as my tag above my head. I've never bought anything that could conflict my usernames.

Thats because your mc name doesn't update in the chat.
