This is another of my suggestions threads, and I’m hoping there are going to be a lot more so enjoy!

suggestion #1 Martian pits.

these would be huge pits in the ground, randomly generating in the over world after about 5 minecraft days of Martian occupation. Here you would be able to see the Martian mobs outside the fighting machines. They would be very slow and would hoot once in a while (especially during feeding). Part of the pit would be a ruined house that collapsed into the pit when the cylinder landed (like in the book), the house would have very valuable foodstuff inside like bread and biscuits, as these would be coming increasingly scarce after Martian occupation in your minecraft world. If you stayed in the house for a certain amount of time, you would become trapped as a fighting machine would come and act as a sentinel. You would also be able to see Martians feed on NPC villagers (or special civilian mobs) via a small pipette. When at last after five minecraft day of imprisonment (if you were unlucky to be imprisoned) you would be able to leave the house as the Martians would have packed up and gone somewhere else.

suggestion #2 Martian occupation.

After a certain amount of time the Martians would start to spread the red weed. This would start to creep up trees and things like them. Soon afterwards handling machines would start to spawn in. These would be seen travelling to NPC villages and collecting the villagers and depositing them in the cage. After a certain degree of time, your minecraft world’s sky would start to have a red tint to it and a little after that a reddish mist would descend and green lightning storms would be commonplace.

this would allow the player to play the the war of the worlds book. Nothing much else to say.
