Hello, I am Sigma, and this is my first proper article since my last one, was the one I used to get my position here. I’m excited to be writing for the bugle and hope to do so for as long as I can!

In this article, I will be going over the server's main factions. See last time on the war of the world's public server: Everyone lived in one town defiantly in its last days, but with enough duct tape to hold itself together. It was burned down, blown up and don’t even mention desk_engi studios. But the point is it was one big, cracked, broken, falling apart place with its own kangabet bible and church of Henrik, both of which ended up severely burnt. This time however things were different....

This time the server was more divided. Now your first thought might be this is a bad thing and yeah to be fair, there have been wars, threats, spies, and mind-numbing amount of advertising but this has been incredibly fun! In fact we have our own UN set up by our first faction and the biggest faction on the server, drum roll please only not because apparently, we don’t have a drum, the CIS!

So, let's go over the top 3 factions/towns that you will come across on the current version of the server: After the spawn town was thoroughly blown up and burnt - Quizzly and friends set up in a far away forever autumn, this became harmony, capitol of the cis. It has farms, towers, buildings and some beautiful scenery. Also, a spaceship that is (at time of writing) still not finished but still looking good. So, if you are all about gathering resources and getting stronger this place is for you.

Next up is a humbler town near spawn, the Portsmouth! Run by the faction known as the British Empire. So, I live in a tower in a forever autumn near spawn and one day I wake up and boom boat. The awesome H.M.S Thunder child. Then suddenly a town followed. There have been explosions and fires a plenty, but they have been redoing the floor with cobble. Sure it doesn’t look as good but has that doc feel which sells the mood. So even if you don’t want to set up camp there it is defiantly worth a visit for its boats. The stone floor and style of buildings gives it a south west English feel.

Now we move onto the town that fits to the general feel of the mod the most, a town that really sums up this mod a town that shows what most towns end up as when you install this mod. The ruins of Arcania! The first town on the server was built in open mountains next to spawn. What the hell were they thinking? Here are some reasons it was a bad idea: 1. Spawn chunks are always loaded 2. Martians can spawn there 3. It’s out in the open and so is an easy target 4. It's hard to get up to it and so martians can snipe you whilst getting to it 5. Even though they had wall it wasn’t that tall, and the front was wide open So now it's obvious why that place was largely abandoned. Now if you visit it you will see crater after crater and a broken messy pool of water. Buildings in ruin and at least 4 martians and 7 looters.

Now lets go over some of the other factions in a segment I call Sigma’s top 3 honourable factions:

1. CCCP, now I'm not to certain what this is. All I know is communism. It isn't talked about much so I'm not too sure what they do, and they are not in the UN either so this one is for you lot to explore for yourselves (if anyone gives you info on them).

2. Mudkip Vault tech. Not sure how much progress has been made with this faction, but they are in the UN so gold star from me. From what I know they have been setting up in a mesa and will have an underground society.

3. The companies. There are a few different companies on the wotw server so here are the top 3: 1. Vortex industries brought to you by time vortext tv this company is set up in Harmony. 2. Illusion industries. These lot are in the UN too but there main faction on the wotw server is MI7, MI6’s little sister. They own part of the mushroom island split between MI6, CIS and them so if your part of ic on dmu then check their wotw place out. 3. Sigma inc. My own company that owns MI6, we are about working with other factions so if you want to start one let us know.
