I was thinking instead of having the block an things there, its just one big modelled wall at a 45 degree angle, a bit like what you did with the secondary wooden console's scanner. Another advantage of that is that it could also work a proper monitor so you can use it to set destinations or see whats happening outside. 

Edit: Just one more question, Will there be other rooms too? Just a random question that occurred to me.

 That might look out of place in a built interior! Good idea though!

The exterior won't be removed, It will still be in the mod, owever it won't be the default for the 9th-10th Doctor (Coral) Interior. Also, can you not use as many caps please.
