Difference about 1.12.2 and 1.16.5

Hi, I have played the new 1.16.5 version of the dalek mod and I have to say, I don’t like it. I know the game has only been recently released but I’m not enjoying it. I don’t want to come across as a hater but having to kill the wither and the ender dragon to get the tardis is a really annoying. The tardis is one of the main features in this mod and you practically have to ‘beat the game’ to get it, plus the exteriors and interiors are not as good as they were in 1.12.2 and 1.12.2 also had lots more mobs, screwdrivers and planets. So unfortunately I won’t be playing this version unless there is a major update and will continue to play my 1.12.2 world. By the way 1.12.2 is amazing it’s literally perfect (although I wish you added Bowie Base 1 on Mars (Adelaide Brooke’s base))

I believe (and probably what SWD think too) is that the tardis should be an end game item due to it being over powered.

You are able to very quickly create a tardis on 1.12 while 1.16 takes a bit more time. This kind of balances it out. Kind of like the Elytra and Beacon being an end game item, due to the power from them. If you got these items right from the start, then I believe the survival part of Minecraft would become boring very quickly. This is same of how I would feel about the tardis if you could get that right away. You would think the tardis is a throw away feature rather than it being something you work towards getting.

 

The Exteriors in the game are more in the style of Minecraft , which is what SWD wanted to do (which I really like), make it fit more in with the base game. If SWD did bring the old models forward to 1.16, people on older hardware would struggle running the mod, or worst not even get it to load.

 

New stuff is planned for upcoming updates and some stuff people will be excited for.

 

I respect your opinion, but this is how the future of Dalek Mod appears to be going and something you will either have to get used to change, or stay on the version you prefer.

 I agree with paul as it does balance the game out way better then 1.12 did. This is also basically a “new mod” is how I see it. A new mod carrying the name along but keeping the fundamentals.

 Hi thanks for your reply Paul and Kaitzu and explaining why 1.16 is quite different to 1.12. Maybe I will switch over to 1.16 in the future who knows but for now I will stick to 1.12, thanks again for replying.
