I have a few ideas for the TARDIS force field for when it gets re-added. If someone else has already suggested this or something similar, I wasn’t able to find it and I apologize.

Feature Name: TARDIS Forcefield Improvement/Expansion
Lore/Brief Background (Or "As seen in" if not from Doctor Who canon): Not specifically from anything.
Description of Feature:When the forcefield was first added, it could be toggled off and on and that was about it. This suggestion makes the force field a little more interactive and difficult to use.
-The forcefield would now be powered by zeiton 7. If this is ever added as a primary TARDIS fuel, it can be used from wherever this would already be stored at, otherwise, it could be put in on the same GUI that the forcefield is controlled from.
-The forcefield can also change in size. Its default would be at its smallest size, which would be about just enough space to step outside the TARDIS. From a control on the console (when right clicked, a GUI would come up), the size can then be expanded upon. The maximum size could be quite large, but still within reason (no more than a diameter of about a dozen blocks or so). If any entities are within this radius as the player tries to increase the force field’s size, they are either pushed back by the force field, or the player is unable to expand the force field any further (whichever anyone likes more, or whichever is easier to code).
-The expansion of the force field comes at two costs:
1: The force field is weakened exponentially as it is expanded. When at its smallest size, it will block out almost all mobs, projectiles and explosion damage. When it is expanded, it will slowly allow more and more to pass through it; as if it is being stretched thinner. Highest velocity projectiles would be able pass through first, as it gets larger there becomes a greater and greater chance that projectiles can pass through. At it’s largest, it can no longer protect from explosion damage, and rarely a mob can pass through it.
2: The larger the radius of the force field, the more zeiton 7 it consumes. I’m sure some formula using π can be made giving the exact time at what radius a piece of zeiton 7 will be used, but the larger it gets, the faster the zeiton 7 will be used up.
Purpose: This gives another, more TARDIS related, and more practical use for Zeiton 7. It also adds a further functionality to the force field that can be useful to players, but comes with a price.
How do you suggest we implement it in game: Java code. But really, I have no idea how to implement any of this.
I support this, you've highlighted some unique features, like the expansion feature. It's a nice insight on this topic, and introduces things I didn't include.
May I suggest, perhaps the forcefield could also disperse water and lava which the Tardis lands on if, strong enough to do so?
Ooh. I did a thread on forcefields as well, but mine was on different topics.
I really love your idea as a whole, so this gets my support
can i add something to that? it would be awsome for a creative only infinate zeiton 7 item/block so creative have infinite force fields
I really like this idea you have my full support.
I'm glad so many people like this.

I really like this idea, perhaps when the force field gets towards its largest (and weakest) size, the water/lava could start to flow in around the edges.
