Hi guys. I've just joined and being a good Whovian am looking forward to seeing what this community has to offer. The below image is my first go at creating a Tardis in Minecraft 1.7.10. Still have some refining to do, but happy to get some initial thoughts about it.
that looks amazing what programs are you using???
Thanks for the compliment Ghostbuster3210. I haven't used any software for this. Just used custom textures and add-ons to achieve the effect. I may look at using Blender down the track to create more custom models for future use. At this stage just experimenting with what's out there in the Minecraft community.

Well there is no .obj or .blend loader so you can't load blender models into MC. If you want custom controls for the console you need to use Techne. But if you mean making a whole console room in Blender, that would be INCREDIBLY AWESOME!
Thanks for the tip Starlord. As I work 50+ hours a week I might give Techne a try.
Um, that is clearly the Tardis mod(Not dalek mod just the Tardis mod) blocks used for the rotor....
Yep, you're right there War_Major. I've just used those temporarily while I create my own using Photoshop.
The basis for my post is the assumption (call it an educated guess!) that you're trying to make the Toyota (Interior used by 11 and 12) console room.
First off, I think you could heavily benefit from a larger room. Yours is a bit too small and a bit cramped.
Your console is mis-aligned (though that appears to be a problem with the mod you're using, not your own), your block usage for the Whirligig (the 3 contra-rotating sections above the console) is a tad wrong as well. I would suggest a block that has a light on the bottom, perhaps pillar quartz?
Your roof should be black.
Your pillars are too thin, I usually (when doing vanilla, I model for my interiors!) use cobblestone walls for an accurate thickness.
You're missing the grating (the grates on the console platform that emit smoke), this would not be an issue would you be using the Series 7b version of the Toyota console (Blue rotor, other details that most modelers tend to ignore), which brings me onto my next point.
Again assuming that you're making the Series 9 version of the Toyota interior (no mods sans Dalek Mod have the hexa-roundels, as I have taken to calling them, making the major change to Series 9 difficult to convey) you're missing a lot of detail. For example: the bookshelves along the left side of the room, and the chalkboards and tables along the right.
Also, the upper walls of the Toyota interior do not carry the same hexagon design (the block you're using is inaccurate, as well!) as the lower walls. In fact, the upper walls are bare sans for the "nerve-ending" esque designs that open for the roundels.
I'd use a different block for the spinning lights, as their current shape is much too diamond-ish.
I'd honestly drop a lot of the modeled blocks, you're obviously a good builder and emphasizing your skill as a builder would definitely show to others your skill!
All in all a good interior, but not without issues.

And is that a bad thing? xD
Thanks for the advice guys. I've just redone the console room with a couple of improvements.
As I get more time, I will make another console in Techne so I can use my own material. Here's the photo of the updated version.

I didn't mean it as a bad thing I thought for a sec you said you modeled them. Sorry about that xD

those roundels at the top of the rotor, i remember them from the 1.7.10 tardis mod

They do look like them, don't they. I actually sourced the symbols off the web and added them in using Photoshop along with the Whovian x32 Texture Pack.
I am looking at creating my own texture pack in future, possibly in HD for more realism.

Well spoken for a true Whovian. This interior was initially thrown together in 1 night, so there was going to be issues with accuracy.
1. The Console - Over the weekend I will start a new model in Techne that's correctly aligned. At the same time I will add a realistic texture to it.
2. Overall Textures - Currently looking at creating a HD Photo-Realism Texture Pack using Photoshop. I will also include textures from previous doctors.
I will keep you all posted on my progress.
