Name of Feature: Interior Selection
Description: This feature will allow players to change their current interior to one that will be in a database, much like the exterior selection. The interiors will be in the form of schematic files in a folder, and the player can insert custom interior schematics into the folder and load them in-game. It's up to John if he wants to eliminate the different TARDIS items and just stick to one, which in this scenario would be the TT Capsule. That way it world be much more accurate to how a TARDIS works within the world of Doctor Who
Lore/Brief Background: Every once in a while in Doctor Who, the TARDIS interior changes. Whether it be by choice or not, it does. This feature would make the TARDIS much more like the one in the show.
How does this affect gameplay: It will allow the player to change the interior of their TARDIS after they have either crafted/bought (if you are on the DMU) the TARDIS. It will also make the TARDIS a singular item, instead of 15+ items.
maybe make a code where the player would have to destroy all chests inside their interior before they can alter the interior. as i dont think schematic files hold chest items

That depends on the schematicing type. Schematica and I think the 1.10 structure blocks don't hold items, whereas WorldEdit and MCEdit do.
This has been suggested loads of times in the past, tbh. So, nothing new here really.
One common problem is that very few have ever addressed issues of lag or farming of blocks without compromising the ability to construct in dimension.
If you can address that, your suggestion would be more unique.
Though, that's just my advice

maybe make a system that in order to change an interior you have to return it to its original state (I:E have a block counting code that tells whether the interior has the same amount of each type of block present when it first spawned, and not wouldn't allow you to change until it has reached or exceeded that number
