Working modeled consoles?

Would that be hard to do?

I wanted to learn Java or to model, wich is harder?

And... would it be hard to do?  Like programmin the levers and the monitor (wich are already object, INTO, the console) or in some way, or you could non textured levers and monitors, so you could place it in the console without breaking the "aesthetic".

Oh... and i bought the beta, good work!

If you place the controls down, then stand over them and do "/blockdata ~ ~-1 ~ {hide_model:1}" or for the flight panel "/blockdata ~ ~ ~ {hide_model:1}" it will turn the models of them invisible while still allowing them to function on the modeled console.

However you can only do this on singleplayer because of server permissions.

Programming is not at all easy and nor is modeling.

And if I interpreted what you were asking, you can't edit the Dalek Mod yourself since it's not open source.

Isn't there a mod where you can edit daleks?

No, I don't think there's a way to edit daleks besides their color.  That can be done by messing with textures

Isn't there a mod where you can edit daleks?

Welll, there is this program (Dalek Mod API), and one day this (Dalek Mod Workshop) will be out. The former, allows creation of customized Daleks, though I'm not sure if it works on the new 1.7.10 version. The latter is a future mod which will allow a bit more freedom than the API and extend to other things in the mod.

As for editing existing Daleks, that's a bit different. You could try running entitydata commands or use a resource pack as Ghostbuster suggested, but that's about the farthest you can go with it.
