I have a feeling this should go on the off topic thread but it is a question so:

I was creating my own forge server when it hit me, I could have bukkit too. So I tried looking around, seeing if there was a way to do it. I found out there was, but after a hour of searching, I couldn't find anything that would help. I know you managed to do it on your severs, so I was asking how did you do it?

If it's cauldron, I couldn't find it.

Well there are alot of tutorials on youtube that shows how to make a server. And this server has some other things like John coded a plugin or something example worldguard or blocklogs.

 I know how to make one, I was just confused how to make a forge server with bukkit, the tutorials that I found do not work anymore.

Bukkit and forge are different, if you would like to create a forge server go to the minecraft forge site, select a mc version, download it, and idk what it exactly said but something with install server or something. I think its the middle one you need to select.

Note: A forge server is a vanilla server but with mods.

 So there is no way? I don't mind you can lock this if you need to. I have made forge servers all the time. My last question is, how did you have things like world guard on the DMU servers?

Thats something John made for ye DMU servers, idk how he made it but I think only he knows but I can tell you there isn't a download for it.

The server is a forge server. There are 0 plugins, only the DM and a few server side mods, aka Forge Plugins.

Mainly SWDEss which was custom made by John and Adam and isn't available to the public. All of the blocklogs and worldguard are part of that. The worldguard we have isn't the same as normal worldguard as all it is, is setting up a protection or deleting one. There's no settings to allow certain things to work etc. If you wish to have "bukkit" and Forge then use Sponge.

Also a Forge server is NOT just vanilla with mods, it's a very different process.

 Thanks everyone for the help. Unless someone else wants to tell me anything else, I can manage for now. Forge Essentials is all I need.
