Win XP- slow when running MC

HI, i attempted to run this on windows xp, and it seeps quite slow. See attached screenshot. My computer specs are: Windows XP SP3, with a Intel Duo Core CPU @ 3.00GHz. 3.18 RAM. Any more info is availible on request.

Screenshot is unavailible, but any info you need, just ask.

erm... i think running it on windows xp is your problem...

i'd suggest windows 7 or higher,  i hear lots of good things about windows 7  but i use windows10

When I first got Minecraft it was on a Windows XP laptop, it didn't run very well.

Like the others have said your problem is Windows XP, it can't really handle Minecraft very well. It's not really something you can fix apart from getting optifine maybe.

I told you this exact thing on the server... It is windows XP, a 16 year old operating system nothing we can do..

Even Microsoft stop providing support for windows XP.

 Go here to update windows:

https://mega.nz/#!IFNzDYjY!9NyoMqHic4dQCoLQ7qVlSjVHn5PjYvkgCBaM6kEyUpk (safe- checked by my antivirus)

make sure you have the windows 10 update requirements.

Requirements:

https://venturebeat.com/2015/03/18/microsoft-reveals-windows-10-hardware-requirements-and-upgrade-paths/

Install the file called: Windows10Upgrade9252.

Doesn't delete any files. Used with my windows 8.1 laptop updated to windows 10.( Not trying to spam just trying to help.)

Then you should have windows 10.

Disregard JDJG's post since it doesn't really apply to Windows XP.

As for you JDJG, Windows XP is VERY different compared to Windows 8 so it wouldn't be the same at all.

OK, how can i get optifine to work with the Dalek Mod?
Thanks for all your responses.

Just put Optifine's .jar file into the folder where you put your mods and run Forge as usual.

ok thanks

It doesn't work, any other suggestions?

Well if it doesn't work then its probaly the windows xp, since microsoft owns minecraft and microsoft no longer supports windows xp.

No, I can get XP to run Optiifine AND the Dalek Mod, just not at the same time :(

Do you crash or if so can you show the crash report in a spoiler?

I can try! Oh good, it worked!

However, it doesn't crash when I use them individually.

EDIT: At least it isn't Vista. "Are you sure you want to push the Post button?"

Although XP has crashed yet again for my clicking the left mouse button. Oh dear. And it is now taking the mick of my computer skills, crashing every time I open MC.

I have now given up, and installed everything onto my dad's computer (Win 10). He  won't mind. Much.

Thanks for all your help.

If you want you could upgrade your XP computer to Windows 10. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

That's their official installation media download page. Hope that helps. :)

They still need a licence key tho unless you upgraded to windows 10 before but returned to your old windows.
