Why in the world would somebody create something called mushroom roundels?

A few hours ago, I thought of a fun interior idea where every blocks is mushroom-related,

The Fungi Interior, you could call it.

I've made textures for these roundels, both red and brown..

This is my first time that I've made a real texture, so please give me pointers and advice if you think it needs improvements.

Red Roundels replace:

-Block of Iron

-Sponge

Brown Roundels replace:

-Iron Ore

-Nether Quartz Ore

This was just a small project of mine, I'll maybe make a suggestion for these blocks to be added into the mod..

I was aiming for a Classic Who-themed interior with the infestation of mushrooms..

It includes a black plastic 'monitor'

And the 'rotor' moves up and down with a flick of a switch..

Wow o-o that looks a lot better than I expected it to!
