Dalek mod Custom Sonic Screwdrivers and other technology

Sonic Screwdriver

Now, when you drop a sonic, instead of it being a floating item, it appears on the floor.

Also, when using a sonic, instead of hitting the air, there should be an animation where you tip the sonic forwards like how it is actually used.

 

Sonic Construction table

Recipe:

Redstone block. Crafting table. -Redstone block

Iron block. Zeiton-7. Iron block.

Clockwork block. Furnace. Clockwork block

 

Use: when right clicked on, a GUI will open up with different options:

 

Recipes: contains recipes for the different variants of sonic parts

Recharge: allows recharge of sonics, useful when their durability becomes low. It recharges like a furnace. Taking time to refill.

Deconstruct: this deconstructs the Sonic Screwdriver into everything it was made with. This will be useful for future modifications. In order to deconstruct the Sonic, it must be fully charged [thanks to an anti-exploiting suggestion by Ghostbusters 3210]

 

The last setting will be called Assemble, be it allows the sonic to actually be made. It has the following features:

 

Design:

This works like skin creation. You choose sonic outlines and can create and modify on them in unique ways. Lighting and secondary lighting are also changed in this.

Another feature of this is a tab that allows you to say if they change when in their secondary mode.

Effects:

Primary setting (modifies colour, sounds and the effect it emits - such as sparks on the device or a beam. This is for all the primary settings)

Secondary setting (modifies colour, sounds and the effect it emits - such as sparks on the device or a beam. This is for all the secondary settings)

Lighting:

Modifies the colour that the sonic glows, or if it glows at all.

Sound:

This would feature all of the noises the sonic has made in Doctor Who

Effects:

Alters how the sonic acts whilst activated. Whether nothing happens, or if sparks appear on the tip of the device.

 

 

Settings:

This allows the builder to create settings on the laser device. They each require a special item which will be placed on slots on the side.

Initially, the device cannot do anything, it has to have settings to do something.

To change settings, press R whilst the device is in hand. You will be able to see what setting is active because it will privately tell you in the chat (it will speak in the sonic's light colour [if it has one] and in the secondary colour if it is a secondary setting). You can keybind settings to a hotbar to quickly access them.

 

-Hack (activates redstone signal, this can open iron doors, activate TNT, etc) [redstone + electronic circuit]

 

-Lockpick (locks and unlocks various kinds of doors) lever + electronic circuit]

 

-Scan (when the user aims on a block or life-form, it will open up a display on them) [compass + electronic circuit]

 

-Heal (heals user, and also other creatures when clicked and held on. Heals 0.5 hearts per second. This also removes wither and poison effects) [magma cream + electronic circuit]

 

-Stun (causes blindness, slowness, nausea, and mining fatigue on a target for 10 seconds. Has a range of 6 blocks. This setting has a 10 second cooldown, using it counts as 5 uses in durability) [zeiton-7 + electronic circuit]

 

-Detect (scans for life and materials, highlights entities and redstone related blocks such as TNT, Nitro-9, redstone and dispensers in a 30 block radius. Secondary setting) [glass pane + electronic circuit]

 

-Pig tissue combustion (explodes pigs, this will now be an upgrade, it is already in the mod but I think that it should be a setting. Secondary setting) [cooked pork + electronic circuit]

 

-Light (this creates a bright source of light, much like a portable torch. As long as you hold it down you will basically have a powerful torch. This function is silent) [glowstone + electronic circuit]

 

-Tardis control lock (when looking at or inside the Tardis with this setting, it will automatically travel to the most recent place that the Tardis has been. If the user owns more than one TARDIS, then they can set it to a specific TARDIS by saying "/set control lock [number]". Secondary setting) [iron bars + electronic circuit]

 

-Ignite (sets a block on fire) [flint and steel + electronic circuit]

 

-Defuse (stops TNT, Nitro-9 and other explosives from detonating) [gunpowder + electronic circuit]

 

-Intercept (in a 10 block radius, stops redstone signals, Explosives, etc from moving as long as the Sonic is held down, the moment the user lets go of this function the signal will continue. Secondary setting.) [clock + electronic circuit]

 

-Safety Mode (once in this setting, the Sonic will become useless unless the setting is changed. But if the user is killed with this setting activated on their Sonic. They will not drop it, instead they will keep it the next time they respawn) [sugar + electronic circuit]

 

-Oxyacetylene Cutting Tool (acts similar to a mining instrument, it removes blocks slowly (about 1 block per 2 seconds), it does not cause drops to occur, except for ores and precious blocks. Ores will be instantly smelted. Flame and smoke particles will be heavily emitted from the target area. 2 charge for every second the cutting is active.) [lava bucket + electronic circuit]

 

-Soldering Iron (acts as a crafting table, this drains 5 of the charge. Additionally, adding something used to make it - for instance, iron sword may require an iron ingot, a bow may require a stick or string - would replenish part of the items durability) [crafting table + electronic circuit]

 

-Scupper (locks a iron door so it cannot open when set off by redstone, this can be reversed by using the lock fuse again. This also works on piston doors by locking all the nearby pistons in place.) [detector rail + electronic circuit]

 

-Overload (overloads equipment so that it explodes and combusts. This works on furnaces, jukeboxes, glowstone lamps, daylight sensors, droppers, brewing stands and constituted blocks. This setting also highlights blocks which can be overloaded.) [TNT + electronic circuit]

 

Charge:

This has a slot in. This then dictates the usage amount.

Once the charge of a Sonic has run out. It will not work, you need to charge it again in the Sonic construction table

-Tissue Compression Eliminator (Particles are Emitted [the colour depends on the sonic device] at the device, this causes 10 damage and has a range of 20 blocks. The benefits of this is that when the user kills a player/entity with the TCE, the victim will die and their corpse will be shrunk into a collectable item which is a miniature doll of their corpse. Additionally, killing someone with the TCE negates their death message so it will not say that they died in the chat - this is to put emphasis on The Master's stealth. Secondary setting.)

-Laser (an emission of energy which causes 16 damage with a range of 30 blocks) [glowstone + electronic circuit]

 

-Isomorphic controls (a passive effect that can be turned on or off and its effect will remain constant whilst another setting is active. It allows only the user to access the controls and utilise the functions)

-Lazarus (degrades the durability of tools, weapons and armour that the victim has equipped or is wielding) [soul sand + electronic circuit] From Arcphoenix

Deconstruct: this deconstructs the Vortex Manipulator into everything it was made with. This will be useful for future modifications. In order to deconstruct the VM, it must be fully charged [thanks to an anti-exploiting suggestion by Ghostbusters 3210]

* The Vortex Manipulator does not appear over the top layer of a skin, but it fits in with the bottom layer

* It appears on the player not just when the vortex manipulator is in use, but when it is in the main hotbar

You can also change where on the arm the vortex Manipulator appears on.

-Beacon (sends out a signal in the chat which says that the user is in danger, this includes coordinates.

-Escape (when turned on, the VM may not be used, but if you are killed your body seemingly disintegrates and you are teleported to another location. Shift + right click allows you to set a coordinate point, waypoint randomiser or random escape [which teleports you to anywhere within 500 blocks of the point]. You keep every item but this uses 250 charge.)

Lets the user see in the world in black with green outlines, entities are displayed as readings that indicate their name/species and what they are holding, as well as what health they are - it's similar to the 'Scan' setting in that respect. It can see entities and redstone related items through walls. It also registers the block you are facing. It also cannot read signs or chalkboards or books, it does, however, work if the user is blind, Darkness and brightness does not affect this mode.

Dictates how the umbrella is held. Whether you hold it like a sword, use it like a cane, or carry it by its middle, etc.

Now, when you drop a sonic, instead of it being a floating item, it appears on the floor.

* It appears on the player not just when the sonic ring is in use, but when it is in the main hotbar
