I had the idea for a project in which we, the players of the DMU, help organize the server. The way we will do this is dividing the DMU into sectors, the north-east, the south-west, the north-west, and the south-east. I'll add a diagram here to give you a better understanding of how this'll work.
Eh it is an ok idea but what if it is no longer a democracy and a tyranny is created and a very large mess is created and yea then the server is abandoned! but otherwise cool idea
Sounds an awful lot like a certain book series cough
Anyway, this probably won't happen considering it would take massive amounts of effort on the staff's part and probably wouldn't work due to the server being mainly kids who either wouldn't understand or wouldn't care.
I have one main question when reading this: What's the main point and/or purpose?
I'm a bit lost on it when reading the thread.
What do these elected leaders do for example? Also what benefit would such a system provide?
Quoted From: Wrig9 >> Once a month, the people in each sector will vote a leader to represent their sector. At that time, one leader will be elected by the majority of the sector leaders, who will cast their votes after looking at what the people want.

That still doesn't answer the question. What do the elected leaders do and what're the benefits of this system that this will give the people of DMU? I'd also like to add my own question to this, what's going to be put in place to stop it becoming a disaster and then wind up with the leaders letting the power go to their head. Not saying this would happen, but we don't want something like WWII Germany happening on DMU.
Sorry, that was an accidental post. I couldn't put words below the quotes, but I meant to say that each leader only rules for one month, so any tyrants would only rule for a month.

But answer this questions

A month can easily be enough time to ruin many players' fun and then have them quit DMU once and for all.
I mean it's not happening anyway so it doesn't really matter does it?
We did actually trail something like this back on DMU Private a long time ago. All I can say is that it did not end well... Lots of fights and arguments
