After seeing some pretty spammy thread making from some people, I'd like to suggest this: Thread/Post Cooldown.

Basically, it would be a cooldown period, in which you couldn't make any new threads (could be applied to posts too). It would help to prevent spammy thread making and arguments, after which people get banned. Furthermore, this could be used as a forums/site punishment, as you could increase the cooldown time for an account, and possibly prevent angry kids spamming forums with random threads. It could also make people consider editing their posts, which is really needed, as we can see loads of posts with 3-5 posts from the same account in a row, or even more.

Well I personally dislike spammers so I support this and also what if the spammer never learns that they are annoying people or that they are spamming and just keep spamming? This was just my thoughts! I still also support this.

 Simple. There's a site ban. Of course, there's also the possibility of making the cooldown even longer.

I think this is a great idea, so long as the duration is reasonable. It could also help with the multiple posts glitch which often results from accidentally hitting the "post" button more than once
