Let me start from the beginning, yesterday, I joined the server and went looking for somewhere to build a house because I had just started. I wanted a place that was easily accessible, ideally near a warp point. I did /warp arishop and I found a hut/house on the other side of the water. I had a look round with no intention of doing anything bad and the house looked abandoned as there were no crafting tables or furnaces or anything there, I assumed they had made a tardis and had no need for it anymore, so I took up the house to live in for a while. I put down a chest and put a [private] sign on it (I had never used these before so I don't know if it worked) and put most of my stuff in there.  I went offline for the night. I went back online this morning only to find someone else had taken my house and had replaced the [private] signs on my double chest as theirs. Not only had I lost my house but I had lost most of my stuff to this person. I ended up taking back my crafting table and my furnace and I eventually took down most of the house as I needed the materials. This person must've then reported me for griefing and I believe this is why I was banned.

I only ask ThatCreeper to rethink this ban. I won't mind if I'm still banned as it is only for 1 day but please consider lifting it.

The fact of the matter is that you griefed a players house, even if they lived in it or not. For this reason, you'll have to stay banned until your time is up
