Feature Name: the ability to craft and plant a tardis seed (coral) instead of just crafting the actual tardis
Lore/Brief Background (Or "As seen in" if not from Doctor Who canon): its been known for a while that tardis's are not mechanical but are in fact both mechanical and biological. its also known that they are not built. they are grown from a small seed pod which accounts for their biological compounds. thus this idea was born
Description of Feature: basically you wouldn't be able to craft a tardis straight off of a crafting table. instead you must craft a seed (coral) and a a large amount of Tilled Gallifreyan Dirt used to plant the seed (coral). you would need to keep it watered and open to sunlight of course so its kept somewhat realistic (maybe have a little moniter GUI that says what the pant needs by clicking the dirt mound). after about 5 minecraft days the first stage would happen (in total there would be about 4 stages each taking about 5 minecraft days to happen). the first 2 stages show a vine like plant coming out of the dirt mound into the area next to the pot that's big enough for a tardis to grow (kinda like a pumpkin plant vine). after that the next 2 stages show the tardis grey block growing (during and when its fully finished it will show the old default TT-capsule grey exterior not the phone box). when its all nice and finished the tardis key will pop out of the pot and you will be able to open and explore your new tardis and change all the bits and bobs to your taste. the pot will remain there until you break it and can be used over and over again by as many people as long as they have seeds to plant. Seeds could be naturally spawning in any dungeons (which will be covered in another suggestion) and server staff would have the ability to limit the amount of seeds any one person can have at a time.
What is the purpose of this: to add a more realistic approach to how tardis's are made within the mod and to give a more "time-lordy" approach to the mod
How do you suggest we implement it in game: by the seed (coral) block (and maybe a watering can just for the sake of the seed growing) and most other little bits and bobs said in the description that might be worth adding.
as always If this is already suggested (which I doubt) just tell me and ill take it down and have a wonderful day!
This suggestion has now been somewhat improved and now links in with someone Arcphoenix's suggestions. Link to Arcphoenix's suggestion: Click me!
It's called Tardis Coral. Also, how about growing it in Tilled Gallifreyan Dirt? (It would add a unique use for Gallifreyan Dirt)
Also, I was wondering if you think there might be a way this post can be made to work with yours. Because I like your suggestion.
I can think of a few ways to change mine to work with yours, but if you don't think so, that's cool

I guess you could grow it from gallifreyan dirt (guess it's the only one with all the minerals needed) and since its a coral then I guess it can be crafted using various ores from gallifrey like a "Rasilicon Block" can be used with the crafting recipe of the coral piece (for the sake of it ima just refer to it as a seed) or a otherdium but just getting to gallifrey would be hard... maybe an event could happen allowing the player to obtain these items in the first place?

I suggested finding Crashed Tardises in the Nether as a way to get to Gallifrey if one doesn't have a Tardis yet

that would work and maybe there could be old time-lord relics from their universal conquest (it could be that they once controlled the planet that minecraft is on) that would contain the ores (they wouldn't be rare just uncommon like a mineshaft)
By the way, I was thinking that the Tardis Won't be dimensionally transcendental until given a Time Vector Generator (like in my suggestion).
That was the part I was really referring to.
It's up to you though

I LOVE that idea.

sure that part about its pocket dimension was really just a little side thought I had seeing as it would be impossible for it to actually be somewhat shown through the mod
I'll start changing my suggestion to be compatible with yours and throw in a link to here

I LOVE that idea. Although, maybe they should be about as uncommon as villages (in default world gen)
yea I suppose so only thing is now on what they would look like.. maybe like a mini temple dedicated to the time lords with gallifreyan caved in the stone everywhere

I pictured Spires made of precious metal with Old High Gallifreyan carved in it and a chest sitting in a hole in a side. But that's even better
Relevant video - a deleted scen from journeys end

ima gonna cover that suggestion in a bit and ill make a separate thread for that linking it to both this and your thread
I've made changes to mine, but I bet I missed a few things (since it's a REALLY long post). I'll check it again a bit later today to make sure I didn't miss anything
What do you think about Tardis Fertilizer? It can be purchased from a special Merchant that spawns on Gallifrey and reduces the time needed to grow a Tardis. By default, the time is a bit longer though
