I had a neat idea for being able to build inside your TARDIS. What if you had an interface to allow building inside, without any risks to cheating? With the TARDIS Construction Panel, you enter a special sort of Creative Mode, known as TARDIS Construction Mode, which would allow you to model inside your TARDIS as you please. This mode would not be without its limitations, though.

• No access to chests. When in Construction Mode, you can't access any chests, as this would prevent you from unfairly collecting resources for the rest of the game.

• Any block or item placed in Construction Mode cannot be broken or mined in Survival Mode to prevent unfair farming. In Survival Mode, however, you can place and break blocks and items as you normally would.

• You can't drop any items in Construction Mode. This prevents unfair distribution of resources, forcing you to actually play the game in survival.

• When entering Construction Mode through the panel, your Survival Mode inventory disappears and you get your Construction Mode inventory instead. This prevents you from collecting anything and retaining it for survival. The moment you exit the panel, your inventory reverts back to what it used to be.

Considering a TARDIS already makes it easy to mine in caves in survival (using waypoints and using the Flight Control to reach parts in ravines), I don't feel a Construction Mode restricted only to the interior for modeling purposes (with the above restrictions) would have any bearing on the survival of the game. It could instead allow everyone to utilize the plethora of blocks that don't have crafting recipes yet. For the Dalek Mod Universe specifically, various items can be restricted from the Construction Mode item list, similar to how the Spanner isn't allowed.

Why did you put this in here too? Most people already said it shouldn't be suggested.

 From what I remember, it was simply a discussion, and then you dictated that it was over despite us being mid discussion and as a result it never fully developed. I saw 2 people including yourself entirely against it, 3 who were having a productive discussion along with voicing concerns, and one person apart from myself who supported the idea.

It was clear the objection to this idea was simply from the fact that the suggestion wasn't read past the first few lines (because of how fast everyone was typing). All the concerns that had been brought up were already covered in the initial suggestion, resulting in people talking over one another and bringing up the same concerns repeatedly.

If you personally don't like the feature, it's perfectly fine, you don't have to use it. But this mod is used in many personal servers as well, alongside single player mode, they shouldn't lose the opportunity of a feature like this simply on the basis of a single server.
