[WIP Dalek Mod Suggestion] Changes to Gallifrey [Structures, Ores, Mobs, and Flora]

So I'm making this thread on Gallifrey.

Imo, it could use many more things. Flora and Fauna and whatnot. And the Citadels could use a few more things.

So this suggestion is WIP.

It won't be as well formatted right now as my other posts, (as it is WIP) but it will be soon.

I'm posting this now so I can perhaps hear some feedback and ideas from you guys

Placeholder Description:

"Chronomium was a time-active element that displaced time around it. In its unprocessed form, chronomium slowed down time around it. In its refined state, it could be used to accelerate time, achievetime travel, and protect against temporal fields. Chronomium was lime-green in colour"

 Time Lords

Chancellory Guard

Spawning: Gallifrey in Citadels

As Seen in: Deadly Assassin, Arc of Infinity, and Invasion of Time

Behavior:

  • Just like the changes to the Unit Soldier I suggested, the Chancellory Guard will attack the player if the player strikes a Timelord. They will only attack once each time you hit a Timelord. If the player kills a Timelord, however, or repeatedly hits a Timelord they will become completely hostile towards the player.
  • If one Chancellory Guard becomes completeley hostile to the player, all  the Chancellory guard in a Citadel will as well.
  • They will not forgive the player if he or she has killed a Timelord.
  • Anger towards the player is not shared between two Citadels. If you anger the Guard in one Citadel, it will not affect the Chancellory Guard in other Citadels

Weapons:

  • Staser

Chancellory Guard Per Citadel: Idk yet.

Regeneration:

  • Each Chancellory Guard will need to be killed by the player 2-3 times to die and stay dead (maybe 0-3).
  • ALTERNATELY, each guard will be incapitated by regeneration sickness by the player if "killed" giving him or her time to escape.
    • Each Guard can only do this 0-12 times. Often being on the lower side of the spectrum rather than higher

Horticulture Timelord

Spawning: Spawns in Gallifreyan Citadels or maybe some kind of attached Indoor Garden Room.

Goods: The Horticulture Timelord sells goods to aid in the nourishment, growth, and care of crops and Tardis Coral (If it gets implemented)

  • Special Water
    • Makes crops grow a bit faster
  • Special Fertilizer
    • Makes Tardis Coral Grow Faster
  • Special Dirt
    • Protects crops from falling apart when jumped on
  • Special Gardening hoe
    • Whatever grows will produce more food (unless it's Tardis coral)
      • A pumpkin can even grow a second pumpkin from one stem

Payment: Credits

 Outsider

As Seen in: Invasion of Time

Spawning:

  • They spawn in the lands outside of the Citadel
  • They usually spawn in packs

Attacks:

  • Bow
  • Spear

Cadonwood Tree or Ulanda Tree Saplings

Description:

So the trees on Gallifrey. There are some things about them that don't really seem to tree-like. At least to me

  • They Don't have Saplings
    • Thus no way to grow them
  • The Leaves don't decay under the conditions that would decay most leaves
  • Trees... For some reason... Generate floating sometimes (Only tested in 1.6.4. I'll test it in 1.7.10)
  •  The dirt below them when mined is grassy (but that's also a bit of a thing for Gallifreyan Dirt really)
  • Their wood isn't actually for the tree itself (Oak)

According to what I've read, the silvery trees of Gallifrey are usually either Ulanda Trees (these may have fruit) or Cadonwood trees.

What is the Purpose of this:

If the team could add in saplings, players would be able to grow their own trees. It would also be more accurate to have the trees have Cadonwood or Ulanda wood in contrast to Oak (which is what the wood for the trees is currently)

How do you suggest we implement this: A new tree and sapling could be added, and the tree can be given mechanics similar to Vanilla Minecraft trees

Any other information: I'm not sure if trees are hard to code. So if coding a tree is any trouble, this suggestion really is just a minor detail and not really that important to code.

I need a break. I'll add more details at a later time

I was wondering, could anyone tell me a bit more info on the Cloister Rooms?

I read a bit about them, but I'd like to hear a bit more from someone who has seen the episode if anyone's wiling to share a few details

Really like this thread, it's brilliant

the cloister rooms store the matrix, a time lord bit of tech that uploads dying time lord minds into a data cloud, it's basically the time lord afterlife. Maybe we could make that a thread.

anyway, back to the cloister rooms, they 'file' everything that hangs around too long in the rooms by ensnaring them with vines.

I read something about filing. It has a few Daleks in it right?

Yeah, it has daleks, weeping angels, and Cybermen. What is quite wierd is that the Dalek begs people to "exterminate…exterminate me" I don't think the vines allowed it to use any Dalek abilities

Sounds like these can be some pretty interesting rooms.

I'll try and see if I can find some clips or images on it

I'm going to start adding a few more things tomorrow. Any ideas?

maybe for the gallifreyan  cat thing,  you could add these to the list:

-adding your timelord suggestion with this and making it that you must be a timelord to tame one

-tame it by prooving your a timelord by right clicking with your fob watch (could be added to the time lord suggestion you made)

Dalek ships can be seen from the ground on galifrey

Dalek ships can be seen from the ground on galifrey

Well from what I understand, this is mostly based on Gallifrey before or after the Last Great Time War. Seeing Dalek ships normally really wouldn't make sense.

If you mean a Dalek attack as a possible event, it's pretty interesting, although I feel it should have a bit more to it ( I reccommend seeing the Sontaran Attack on Gallifrey from Invasion of Time).

I could see Time-War Gallifrey too though if that's what you mean as an alternate Time Zone, and it would be really cool to see in the mod

If you have any other details on it, just let me know. I'd like to hear it

Well, I see where you're coming from with this, but they're implied to be just normal cats that the Doctor brought to Gallifrey, and they're said to not be native rather than having been always associated with the Time Lords.

 http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Gallifreyan_cat

The only real difference, I think, mechanic wise between a Gallifreyan cat and a normal one would be the "Owner Pet AI" which isn't a thing in normal Vanilla cats.

As for getting a cat on Gallifrey, well, I think it would have to be implemented in a way to not be a cheap way of getting a cat (in contrast to having to hunt for a jungle like one would in vanilla for an ocelot).

I imagine they could spawn in a jungle that doesn't appear often (like in the overworld) or perhaps there can be some kind of pet merchant (who could perhaps also sell a few other Gallifreyan things as pets).

But,  that's just what I'm thinking.

Cloister wraiths

behaviour: neutral unless you stare at them or are close to them (3 blocks)

attacks: ability to either you

spawning: Gallifrey.
