I feel that the tardis is really missing an important feature. The scanner. It just needs to be added to the defualt monitors so than you can click on the monitor and select scanner. This gives you an outside view of the tardis like the one shown when using the flight panel. The only difference from the flight panel is the tardis wont take off and all you can do is look around. This might be useful to see whats outside or watch as your friend flies the tardis.

Absolutely I think that this was always one of the main things  that was a cool part of the TARDIS of all things
