101 Improvements For The Forum (Ok, maybe not 101 but still..)

1. Staff NEED to get more involved in the forums, ESCPECIALLY BAN AND UNBAN REQUESTS AS WELL AS PLAYER REPORTS AND HELP QUESTIONS

     Explanation :  Currently I have noticed that only 1 or 2 staff have been active on the forums, I am not naming names but it seems that with the large amount of staff listed at spawn most of them seem to be slack and disinterested about the forums, now I know you will say "but who wants to talk about the server, there are WAY more interesting posts out there" well the thing is, the way this server thread is being handled is appalling.

2. There needs to be a DEDICATED support team out there ready to assist any confused players, it SHOULDN'T be up the players to spend 6 hours helping a player only to find there computer is a Mac not a Windows!

3. Better restrictions on thread posting : At the moment threads are dumped on top of each other willy nilly so it becomes impossible for ANYONE to keep track.

4. This isn't really related to the forums but I will dump it in anyway... Remember the whole VoidRed incident? If staff were chosen properly and stopped behaving like 2 yr olds ( I am making a generalisation here, please do not be offended) then maybe things would actually get dealt with in a correct and proper manner, this may all seem like fun and games, but you are running a server!

5. And last but not least.... It is a VERY BAD idea to give your donators SO MANY permissions I have read COUNTLESS reports of abuse of tp, cmode, etc. This needs to stop. Fair enough someone can donate for cmode but tp is just ridiculous.

Conclusion : I know I may sound a bit harsh but that is the reality... And it ain't always nice.

2) Kind of the same as getting better staff, but yeah I agree

3) They are not dumped on top of each other, the are sorted depending on the most recent post. So threads which have recently been posted in will appear at the top

4) We are going to reevaulate staff over the coming weeks and get a much better team of staff members on both the servers and the forums. Not saying the current staff are bad, just saying that a lot of them are now inactive on the servers after leaving to go play on other servers.

5) We have an update coming which will have the option to use /tptoggle which will disable the ability for players to TP to you. This will be given to every rank and only admins will be able to override it with /tpo

Oh and one last thing, I have been writing a pretty big site update these last few weeks which should go live pretty soon which is aimed at making the site a lot easier to navigate and making the forums easier etc

Personally, I don't think that donators should have access to spectator mode either, I have memory of numerous accounts of SWDBae's spying on other people using gm 3, and /particle may be a bit of a risk too, because when used dangerously, they can crash other people's games.

We've been thinking about altering some perms slightly, so I might create a gm3 perm and disable it ranks as I know for a fact people use it for spying. It's annoying because I like using /gm 3 to spy on players who might be griefing etc then somebody who is also in gm 3 start shouting "HI 1WTC I CAN SEE YOU" and basically lets these people know I as monitoring them
