[Dalek Mod Suggestion] The Engineer's TARDIS and Tools [New Items, TARDIS, Blocks, and Features]

The Engineer is a time lord I came up with awhile back, and I believe that there are a few things that might be good to add to the mod.

1. The Engineer's TARDIS

This is the Engineer's TARDIS, specially designed to travel across the void without a problem or tearing a hole in the fabric of reality.

Obtaining: The Engineer's TARDIS is crafted like this:

            OCB
            ANS
            DGJ

O=oak planks
B=birch planks
A=acacia planks
S=spruce planks
D=dark oak planks
J=jungle planks
C=clock
N=nether star
G=black stained glass

(The wooden planks can be arranged in any order on either side of the crafting grid. However, there must be one of each type of wood.)

Use: This TARDIS has the ability to travel to other dimensions on top of the basic TARDIS functions. Though I have not come up with an interior, there are a couple new blocks that come with it that are mandatory for interdimensional travel which I will discuss later.

How To Implement It: My idea is to make the Nether on the basic TARDIS gui unavailable, and add the End in the same way. Then, when the Theta Rod (see theta rod) is plugged into the Theta Rod Port (see theta rod port) the other dimensions become available in the TARDIS gui.

2. Crafting Materials

Void Stone: Void stone is a highly unstable substance that is found by dimensional rifts or on the Lost Planet in the void. When a stone is given a spark of energy, or experiences a sudden rise in temperature, it ignites imploding into a vortex which swallows anything in the area.

 Obtaining: Void stone is commonly found by a dimensional rift*. Alternatively, you can find a dimensional rift and place stone and/or cobblestone a few blocks away.

Use: This block is used in crafting the Void Stuff Fuel Cell (see void stuff fuel cell) and the Theta Rod Port. Perhaps, if you use a flint and steel on it it could instantly explode, since an implosion may not be possible.

How To Implement It: "Use" pretty much sums it up.

Void Steel/Void Steel Alloy: Void steel is metal that is more stable than the stone that it is found in, however it can still be ignited. Void steel alloy is a completely stable version and can be used as building material.

Obtaining: The way to acquire void steel is similar to the way you get void stone, except you use iron ore instead. Then, you smelt it to obtain the ingot. Finally, you craft it with an iron and/or gold ingot (I still haven't decided which one yet) to get one alloy ingot.

Use: I don't know if I want a void steel block, but I think void steel alloy block would make a nice building materials. Anyway, void steel alloy is used in crafting the theta rod, the theta rod port, and the void stuff fuel cell.

How To Implement It: Once again the "Use" section explains this well enough.

*Void Stuff: Is the primary fuel source for a dimensionally enhanced TARDIS. For more information on this, dimensional rifts, and how to find them go to archphoenix's thread here.

Theta Star: This is a one of a kind jewel that is loaded with rift energy and gives off a dangerous form of radiation known as theta rays. The Engineer stole this from the time lords to make the Theta Rod.

Obtaining: The theta star can be found in village blacksmith and maybe dungeon/temple chests. Maybe it could be crafted with a nether star and a block of void stone. It could just be a nether star though I would prefer that it wouldn't be.

Use: It is used in one crafting recipe, the theta star container. Though it could be used to make the Engineer's TARDIS.

How To Implement It: Perhaps when the theta star is in your inventory it could give you slow damaging effect.

3. The Theta Rod

This is the Engineer's trusty tool, and the key to the multiverse. It has also come in handy when he needed to delete something from the universe.

Obtaining: The Theta Rod can be crafted with the theta rod prongs on the top, the theta star container in the middle, and the theta rod shaft. Each section can be crafted like this:

Theta Rod Prongs:
           VAV
           VVV
           AVA

Theta Star Container:
          VVV
          VTV
          VVV

Theta Rod Shaft:
          AVA
          AVA
          AVA

V=void steel alloy ingot
T=theta star
A=air

Use: It can be used as a ranged weapon dealing some pretty hefty damage. However, its primary function is to be plugged into the theta rod port. When that happens, you can travel other dimensions.

How To Implement It: With the rod in hand you have the ability to shoot lasers (because it would probably be to much to make it appear like electricity coming out of the rod). If the player kills what ever their attacking, the mob will not drop anything. The way to unlock the other dimensions is to take the Theta Rod and right click the theta rod port (maybe when you plug it in lightning could strike nearby). Now the dimensions are colored and available. Go over to your monitor and select the dimension you want to go to as normal.

4. Blocks

Void Stuff Fuel Cell: This is a recent addition to my idea to not make the TARDIS overpowered in the mod, plus it allows archphoenix's idea for void stuff to have a purpose. Anyway, this is how you give a dimensionally enhanced TARDIS fuel.

Obtaining: The void stuff fuel cell can be crafted like this:

           ASA
           SBS
           ASA

A=void steel alloy ingot
B=
S=void stone block

Use: When right clicked either open a gui in which you place in the void stuff and tells you how much is in your reserve, or you right click with a bottle of void stuff and it empties your bottle. Then, every two trips you will have used one bottles worth.

How To Implement It: The fuel cell is a block that naturally spawns in the the Engineer's TARDIS. However, if you place one along with the theta rod port block in an average TARDIS that TARDIS will have become dimensionally enhanced and can now travel to other dimensions.

Theta Rod Port: This is where the Engineer plugs in the Theta Rod.

Obtaining: The theta rod port can be crafted like this:

            IAI
            IBI
            ISI

I=void steel alloy ingot
B=bottle of void stuff
S=void stone block
A=air

Use: When right clicked with the Theta Rod the Theta Rod renders as if it is plugged in. Then, as mentioned in "The Theta Rod," all dimensions become available in the monitor gui.

How To Implement It: The theta rod port is a block that naturally spawns in the Engineer's TARDIS. However, if you place one along with the void stuff fuel cell in an average TARDIS that TARDIS will have become dimensionally enhanced and can now travel to other dimensions.

Once again, void stuff and dimensional rifts were originally archphoenix ideas, click here to see his thread.

Uh so good job on the formatting, the layout looks nice and i can see the logic being put into this, it also ties in with another suggestion which is nice. However, in all honesty, i feel like fanmade content should not be in the mod for the simple reason that if SWD adds this suggestion(for example)they'd have to add everyone's suggestion too, another thing, maybe work a bit more on the Tardis? It could get added, you never know

I don't expect it to used either, but it was worth a try. I'm also surprised that came out good as it did. That is the most I've written in my life.

Oh, I forgot, what sort of details did you think were missing from the TARDIS?

I really like this. Fan made or not, this is definitely very original and creative, and it's obvious that you thought though this before posting. (Additionally, I love the format)

SWD may decide to not take this suggestion, but I support it nonetheless

 Time_cat, I would like you to clarify what information you would like for the TARDIS.
