So many users have been asking for better user-friendly functions both on the Forums and the SWD Site in general. This is a compliation of suggestions I feel are important to improving the SWD site.

Contents:

1. Delete-post function for all users
2. Post-moving tool [Site admins/Moderators only]
3. Bio system [All SWD profiles]

I: Delete-post function for all users

Description:

As the title suggests,

• A way for all users to delete their own posts (obviously not deleting other's posts)
  • This includes threads and comments
• This means users won't need to ask Admins/Moderators to deal with their duplicate posts and may self-govern themselves
  • A confirmation pop-up will come up before the deletion of the post, in case the user made a mistake.

Balancing:

• In case a user has posted something nasty/ inappropriate the post will show up in the SWD Admin/Moderator panel
  • There will be a "Deleted Forum Posts" section in the admin/moderator panel
    • Any post that hasn't been restored after 30 days will be permanently deleted

Think of this panel as the "Junk" folder in an email domain like Gmail.

II: Post-moving tool [Moderator/Admin only]

Description:

As the title suggests,

• A way for all any Site staff to move any forum post that is in the wrong section of the Forums

III: Bio-system [Suggested by Kaneras]

Description:

As the title suggests,

• A section in any SWD Profile that allows the user to type a bit about him/herself.

• It will have a word limit of about 1000 words, in case the user is a spammer etc.

Should be adding the Bio system to the site over the next few days, as for the post moving feature for the forums it is almost written, I plan on having it up for Tuesday.

Also I think we need a report post function as well, what do you all think?

Maybe there can be another button in the Top Bar for admins and moderators that lists all the reported posts from newest to oldest. Additonally, the "reports" could all go under one "Reported post" which expands to reveal the individual reports when clicked on. When compressed, a number will show the number of times the user has been reported

 I like this. I'll be sure to throw that in the main post.

 A sort of "Reported Posts" Inbox available to the moderators and admins. And we can tag them as solved or unsolved as well, to save the others a need to check

I could add the reported posts as a button on that moderator panel on the left of the screen. Could make it so you click it and a menu opens from the left of the screen which will have listed all of the reported posts.
