Day III:
Those footstrips scared us enough. 5 photos. 5 weeping angels. Me and my Uncle came back to the basement, we decided to examine the photos: “Strange.” I said. “What?”he asked, confused. “These are 5 different landscapes all in different places, but then, how are they all here? And how fast are they if they can move from a place to another distant place in only one night?” “They are good questions, but to be honest I don’t know the answer” We were stuck, me and my Uncle didn’t know what to do. We had too many questions and no information, so we went to sleep. Well, my Uncle went. I, with the determination to find out what was happening, opened the trapdoor to the basement and surprised - I saw my Uncle still awake reading the book. “Uncle Tom?! What are you doing here?!” “I could ask the same thing to you too” he answered. “Jon, listen to me, I won’t sleep until I discover what’s happening to this village” “Yeah... but... Uncle... I was thinking... we usually turn off the lights of the basement during the night..” “Yes?” he asked interested. “Weeping angels can’t move if looked at which is why you decided to put them in a circle..” “Go on?!” “Well, look around...” I continued scared. “What?!” he replied impatiently. “Uncle... where are the weeping angels?” We freezed. 5 dangerous statues escaped because of us. In the midst of our questions, we forgot the fundamental principle of the weeping angels. They can’t move if looked at, so we turned off the lights for enough time for them to escape. “Ok, there is only one way they could go” my Uncle said “Where?!” “That way...” and after a minute of silence he pointed a dark corridor.
