**Suggestion:** The Regeneration Update
**Explanation:** This would rewrite regeneration to be more accurate. More info down below
----------------------------------------------------------------
**Types**
----------------------------------------------------------------
These could be picked via River's Diary, along with a "random" option that picks a random type upon regeneration
Fade - a simple fade
Electric Crackle(1996 TV movie) - The player would crackle for 5-10 seconds
Flames(Timelord guide book as far as i'm aware) - The player would be engulfed in flames
Energy Discharge(NuWho) - The player would discharge regeneration energy, depending on if the player held it back, it would vary from harmless to damaging the environment and nearby entities.
----------------------------------------------------------------
**Side effects**
These would vary from what the player died from before regeneration
Weakness - This would last 5 seconds to 1 minute, if the player died in a fight this would occur.
Strenght - This would last from 1 minute to 5 minutes, if the player wasn't doing anything this would occur.
Blindness - This would last from 4 seconds to 10 seconds, if the player died on the moon this would occur.
Absorption - This would last for 5 minutes, this would be a natural side effect triggered by regeneration.
Slowness - This would last for 2 minutes, this would be a natural side effect triggered by regeneration.
Nausea - This would last for 5 seconds, this would be a natural side effect triggered by regeneration.
Hunger - This would last until the hunger bar was full, this would be a very common side effect naturally triggered by regeneration.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
**Traits**
This would be given to the player after regeneration, these would be given in a random order.
Haste - This would last for an entire regeneration, this would allow the player to break blocks faster.
Speed - This would last for an entire regeneration, this would allow the user to run faster.
Strenght - This would last for an entire regeneration, this would allow the user to deal more damage.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**Triggers**
This would trigger a regeneration.
Poison - Poison would trigger regeneration after 5 hearts of health are lost to this effect.
Wither - The Wither effect would trigger regeneration if it gets to half a heart, although regeneration would be slowed down since it has to regenerate more of the body than normal.
Instant Damage - This would trigger regeneration instantly, although regeneration speed would be increased since the "cells" are dead and not damaged.
Forced - The player could force a regeneration without being on the verge of death, this would be done by a new keybind.
------------------------------------------------------------------
**Reason:** The rewrite would make Regeneration more interesting and immersive
This is a good idea however It has already been used in the 'regeneration mod' which is used as an add-on to the new-tardis mod And I'm sure they wouldn't be happy if we copied EVEN MORE of their features As the regen feature in the Dalek mod Is already based off regeneration mod.

The DM regen feature is literally based off the show. They DO NOT copy features from other mods. Can we stop talking about this as well?

The code for regeneration was made by the same people who made the regeneration mod. SWD has full written consent to use the code and it’s been tweaked since they’ve had it as well.
