The Doctor has had 2 umbrella's already: a black one with the handle looking like a question mark... and a rainbow umbrella! So i thought they could add it to the Dalek Mod with a different system than the 7th doctors' umbrella in the mod already. It could still be used as a weapon with the same stats but instead of it being a sonic, it could be a shield! How to use it as a shield: Open the umbrella (shift + right click) and then shift + left click. Shield mode can block projectiles (arrows and maybe lasers from modded mobs) and maybe even explosions if the devs feel like it. The umbrella itself can also be used as weapon like the 7th doctors' umbrella with the same stats and will never take damage as both weapon and shield mode.

Brilliant Idea however I if I could make one change give all umbrellas the ability to slow your fall like the Mary Poppins umbrella

I think the same, to be honest it would be better if we just entirely replaced the Mary poppins umbrella with a doctors umbrella because it just feels off having an umbrella from a different story do something that could be done by other things actually from Doctor Who.

 this is an idea that i thought about to suggest but, it's not "Doctor Who realistic". with that i mean that it's not Doctor Who canon. it's more Mary Poppins canon.
