Feature name: Conversation? with mobs
Lore/Breif background (Or "as seen in"if not from Doctor Who cannon) : Many, MANY episodes of Doctor Who
Description of feature: This feature works as a toggle able option in settings that allows you to have conversations with hostile and (perhaps) non hostile mobs from the Dalek mod. This will work like a conversation, when you approach certain mobs (e.g Cybermen, daleks, autons clockwork droids etc) and right click on them, by random you will have a chance of a gui opening allowing you to pick something to say. You can use this for them to take you places, (e.g dungeons, ships bases etc) and sort of "stall" away from death for a small amount of time. If used correctly you would be able to defeat a mob with words instead of weapons like the Doctor. For example, a Cyberman threatens to take you for conversion, this feature would allow you to actually accept this and be taken to their base without being attacked, you would not be able to escape though, as this would lead to your immediate death. As I said, this would be a toggle able option in the settings, which means it can be turned off and on depending on ones personal preference, and turned off for the dmu server to prevent stalling death
What is the purpose of this: it will make the mod more similar to Doctor Who in a unique and interesting way, and make the mod much more fun and interesting.
How do you suggest we implement it into the game: As a sort of gui that pops up, similar to that of mods like Minecraft comes alive, except this gui would be actual conversations. E.g 4 options appear, ask them to take you to their base, say something intimidating, stall them and lie, you click "ask them to take you to their base" and they reply with killing you, or if they are not daleks, they might take you to their cyberleader, nestene intelligence etc.
Sorry for how long I haven't edited this thread, my computer and old phone both broke, and my email got deleted. I will try to be more active now... Not that many people care
This seems a bit more like something that would be in another mod, not that I have anything against the idea.
One thing though.
UNDER-LINING.
Please don't underline every single last word.
i fully support this idea. that way handles wont be the only " intelligent " being you encounter throughout the mod.
Intristing...like Arc said this sounds like it would be in a different mod.
I do like this. It would make it more interesting but it could get annoying with EVERY Dalek or Cyberman doing that. Maybe you could set it to randomly happen so you don't have to do it every time you come across a Dalek or Cyberman. Otherwise it's got my support.
Thanks for the support! I will fix the underlining problem. Oh and Musket, I will add that to the post as soon as I get my hands on a computer. As it is annoying to edit it on a phone
This would be a good suggestion if it were not for the fact that this could be abused for "stalling", it would work well as a separate mod but with something like the Daleks especially, it makes little since with the canon. Lone Daleks would not behave like that, as we saw in Dalek
Yes I know, but maybe for a different timezone or parralell Earth? One where the daleks have taken over Earth and capture any humans. Of course, they will try to kill you if youre a timelord. And if one of then is restrained and/or dieing, you can have a conversation with them without being killed. As seen in Dalek.
Perhaps there can be options? Like:
Disable/Enable
Options to make it only every few mobs you encounter or every mob
Fully support this idea! Would love if there was an update to focus on mobs ????
I agree with EndlessTimelord. But otherwise yeah! This would be cool! Or it could be in the long awaited Story Mode.... 0_0

I like this idea of the toggle switch. That's better than my idea. :)
I like the idea, but i think that it should only work with bosses, not with lone mobs.

Bosses would make even less sense though.
Looking back at this, it sounds like adding a bit of CYOA gameplay into the Dalek mod or something.
In my opinion, it would really change the gameplay so drastically that it might be better as an add-on, rather than a main feature that happens automatically in the main mod.
But that's just my opinion

Your right actually, I got some inspiration from CYOA for this suggestion
