In-Flight controls

Read the title

Would it be possible to add a dematerialization process? Not just pulling a lever. This could come with a power on and off, so it doesn't use artron energy. We also see the Doctor running around the controls pressing buttons and levers during flight, maybe this addition could add a few controls that help stabilise the TARDIS while in flight. Also add a crashing option. This is my first suggestion and ik its not very well explained / set out well. I'll probably re do it some other time. I don't actually expect this to be seen.

One problem with this is that it makes flying a TARDIS more time consuming and troublesome, having to remember which lever does what, which may result in people being reluctant to use the TARDIS. Some who use this mod over others prefer it due to its simplicity, I’ve done some browsing of TARDIS mods in the past and they’re usually too complex to fly, which would certainly make it harder for, for example, younger players who can’t fully understand how to play. I do agree that it would be more dramatic to fly and I do like the idea, but overall it would only be a fun thing for some players, discouraging others to play the mod.

Perhaps there could be a toggle? So you can go between simple flying and advanced flying

perhaps a stabilizer button would be able to do that, so if you wanted to press all the buttons for flight you ride with the stabilizers deactivated. If you prefer a nice comfy  flight then fly with stabilizers on. just a thought

That would be good, maybe it could mean that simple flying is just certain coordinates and advanced flying you can select rotation, phase time, how long it takes to get there, and whether you conserve fuel or use lots in one go!

For example simple flying would be how it is now, but with advanced flying you could toggle breaks, stabilisers, you could maybe convert more fuel to less flight time, and others.

I actually had the idea that with fuel time, you use the pump shown in the coral interior (8th + 9th), the more you pump the more fuel is used, you could use a keypad to insert coordinates instead of a button where you toggle how many to increase by, brakes that you have to turn on to stop materialising and fully land, and take off when you dematerialise, lots of complex controls!
