What's happening??

As many of you may have already heard, we have been going on about our dedicated server now for a few months. Which we will be using to host the Dalek Mod Universe Public / Private servers. We have finally bought our dedicated server and are now in the process of setting it all up. That means that over the next 24-48 hours there may be some downtime with some of our servers and tools. This should not affect too much, mostly the Dalek Mod universe server.

What is happening to the DMU Map?

We are keeping the same map, we are not resetting it, it will remain the same as it has been for the past 6 months. However as I have warned people on the server, after 12pm GMT tonight, we cannot guarantee that changes  builds made to the server will be saved. This is because we have to transfer the map over. The map itself if pretty large and this transfer could take a few hours. So just a reminder. Anything you build after 12pm tonight may not be saved.

Does this mean the public server is opening?

Yes. This means that within the next week / 2 weeks the public server will be opening. We are still setting up the worlds for the public server and making sure that all o our custom written plugins are working 100% correctly and efficiently. Also we will be fully optimising the mod to make sure there isn't any mod related lag issues.

When are the servers coming back online?

The servers should be down for 24-48h. We will post an update here on the forums as soon as they have all came back online as well as send a notification out to all of you. If for any reason the transfer / setup takes longer than 24-48 hours we will inform you and give a rough estimate of how much extra it might take.

1WTC, what will happen to the  SWDTeam Beta acess Dalek mod updates?

 What do you mean?

 Like when Beta access people received Update 40 before its official release. Also: will the Beta access users still have access to the Beta access server, AND will the people with ranks (SWDBae, Moderators, etc) retain their ranks on public D.M.U.?

 P.S. Will there be an advent calendar for Christmas this year?

 Currently there is a feature in update 40, where you see a server icon, currently no working, the "Public"  server would probably be posted there.
