RIP TARDIS (Suggestion)

Something that seems to be happening an increasing amount in the Show (Doctor Who, of course) is that the TARDIS seems to Crash at least once every series. However, in the Dalek Mod, there isn't a way to crash the TARDIS (I mean, you can use a TARDIS panel to make sparks, but that's not really crashing). So here is my suggestion (Yes, my suggestions are often long, that's how I justify making new threads every week or so):

Health:

My first idea involves adding a TARDIS health system. I want this implemented so the TARDIS is no longer an easy method of escape. Pretty much, when a TARDIS is hit by Lasers or an Explosion, some of its Health will drain away. The TARDIS is still invulnerable to Mining, Getting attacked with Swords, and Arrows, It can only be damaged by Explosions and Lasers. When hit by a Laser the hearts of damage that Laser would do to a player is subtracted from the TARDISes health. For Example, lets say I'm being chased by a Dalek and I get into my TARDIS. The Dalek outside, angry that I have escaped, fires on the TARDIS. While no exterior damage has been done and my TARDIS is still standing, the 10 damage that Laser would have done to me has now been done to my TARDIS. Now, that Laser would have taken 5% health from the TARDIS, leaving me with only 95% (If my TARDIS was at full health).

Total Destruction:

So, we have established the Basic Idea, Laser does 5 hearts damage to a Player, It does 5% damage to a TARDIS. But what happens when I have no more Health. Well, this results in what I like to call 'TOTAL DESTRUCTION'. Basically the TARDIS explodes, Either A) Killing the Player(s) inside or flinging them to a random spot in another dimension. From the Exterior, this is just a normal Explosion, Not a problem if Explosions aren't enabled. But for the Player, they are stuck without a way out of whatever dimension they are in (Well, depends really). The TARDIS interior that you had isn't destroyed tho, so all you have to do to retrieve it is to get a new TARDIS (https://swdteam.com/forum?p=thread&tid=2136) and remember your Interior co ordinates (Unless John adds a clearing system that erases the TARDIS interior once you have destroyed the exterior).

So about Crashing:

When the TARDIS is at 10% Health or lower, it will start sparking, a lot and become a bit wobbly, sometimes missing the Co ordinates you wanted to land at. When 5% Health is reached, the Cloister bell will be heard. Flying the TARDIS now will cause lots of explosions, and you will DEFINATELY not end up where you wanted. When at 5% or lower the TARDIS exterior will also show some slight signs of damage, smoke rising from it (the Cloister bell can also be heard when up close).

Activate the defences:

Basically, this is just the Force fields, but with a few improvements (and debuffs). The first part is that the Shields would work with the TARDIS protections, E.g unadded players can't enter. The next part is the TARDIS cannot travel with the Shields enabled. This is just so players can't just have the shields on all the time, they can either A) Go into manual flight mode (unless you are on DMU) or

B) Have the shields on (Might be disabled on DMU as well)

Having the shields on also means the Player can't just summon the TARDIS to escape.

Healing the TARDIS:

To heal the TARDIS you would have to make a TARDIS power crystal (The thing from 'Rise of the Cybermen' that the Tenth doctor uses 10 years of his life to recharge). Placing this into the TARDIS (A slot in the monitor?) you would heal 100% of the TARDIS's Health. It would be crafted like this:

ZGZ

GEG

ZGZ

E = Emerald, Z = Zeiton 7, G = Gold.

And that is my suggestion, hope you didn't die of boredom. If you have any problems with this idea, or want to suggestion any inprovements, please leave a comment and I'll try and reply.

PS: If I have uploaded a suggestion similar to this before please let me know kindly, I can't remember if I have before.

Just going to bump this thread, so more people will (Hopefully) notice this, I mean, its not like I spent an half an hour writing this...

50ap5ud5 did a thread on Tardis Forcefields once, and I made a suggestion on Tardis health some time back. I do like certain aspects of your version of the health suggestion though. The flight becoming wobbly at lower health I really like in particular

I Am Very Interested If This Would Get Added, But One Problem, Around Update 33 Or 34, They Had Shields For The TARDIS But Then They Later On Removed It In Update 40, So I Dont Think They Will Re-Add That Part Of It, Making It Very Easy For The TARDIS To Die

Shields weren't removed. They just haven't been coded for 1.8 yet

Bumping this so its not just classed a spammed thread. I really hate spammers, please don't spam my thread again.

The Tardis is definitely very well protected from most things, but it's not indestructible and it has been destroyed before

While i like everything in this thread, i think that the tardis may have an alternetive source of healing up, the expensive cristal may only be used to heal the tardis to full health, as it is very expensive i think there should be an alternative, cheaper way to heal the tardis though it will heal alot less. Other then that, i fully support it.

I was thinking if a TARDIS energy system was added, the Crystals would only increase the amount of health the TARDIS can have (e.g boosting the amount of heal the TARDIS can have to 200% or something). The TARDIS would automatically heal itself until it's energy ran out in which case it would need more Zeiton 7 crystals to boost the power.

As for being indestructible, the TARDIS has nearly died/been destroyed many times, one such example is 'Rise of the Cybermen'.

Weeeell if you want to split hairs, in 'Rise of the Cybermen', she didn't really explode, she just died. The console sparked and smoked like heck, but she just died, still intact. If you want to see a real explosion, look at 'The Pandorica Opens' and 'The Big Bang'. There, the TARDIS legitimately explodes and takes the whole of creation with her.

This is a really good idea and deserves a lot more novice, i think the feature would add a lot more depth to the game and will make it more challenging.
