TARDIS Leveling-Up System

Hello there!

I originally made a suggestion on the SWD Discord and Sub suggested that I post it here (for an easier reading experience)

So what I thought of is maybe a TARDIS Leveling-Up System.

There are four different sections in Leveling Up, like the Borderlands series's SKILL TREE (click here for reference).

Compatibility:

This side of the tree focuses on the dimensions that your TARDIS can travel to.

I was thinking of upgrades like this:

DEFAULT: Overworld, Nether, and Classic MINECRAFT

Upgrade 1: COST: 5XP: Cave Game

Upgrade 2: COST: 10XP: Skaro, Moon

Upgrade 3: COST: 15XP: Gallifrey, Trenzalore
(One of the ULTRA Admins said that it will be back eventually)

If these planets will not be planned to be added by the SWD Devs, then ignore this

FINAL Upgrade: COST: 20XP: The End, ?Modded Dimensions?

This one is iffy too because some Admins said that the Dalek Mod was having issues with mods that have dimensions..

[I think that more planets should be added so this Compatibility tree can be more relevant, just a suggestion. ¯\_(?)_/¯]

Strength:

Strength is aimed towards an old feature from 1.7.10, the Force Field!

Basically, the more you upgrade this skill, the more protection you will get! :D

Here is what I was thinking:

DEFAULT: Arrow/Auton Projectile Protection MK1 (The field vaporizes the arrows/projectiles, feeding it to the TARDIS), Force Field Health: Five Full Player Hearts

Upgrade 1: COST: 10XP: Vanilla enemies can't walk in the forcefield. (Except Creepers), Arrow Pickup (You can take enemy arrows off the forcefield and use them for yourself! >:D) Force Field Health: Seven Full Player Health

This upgrade removes the trait of vaporizing the arrows, now it only vaporizes Auton lasers!

Upgrade 2: COST: 15XP: ALL Vanilla enemies can't walk in the forcefield (Yes, even Creepers), Arrow Pickup MK2 (Allows you to toggle between Arrow Consumption and Arrow Pickup) Force Field Health: Nine Full Player Hearts

Penalty in Upgrade 1 is now non-existent

Upgrade 3: COST: 25XP: ALL Mobs (Yes, Daleks, Withers, and Modded Mobs) can't walk into the forcefield, Projectile Protection MK2ish (The field now vaporizes ALL projectiles, Ghast Balls, Dalek beams, and Wither Skulls), Underwater Travel MK1: You are able to BREATHE and land the TARDIS underwater, under the forcefield of course. Air Pressurization MK1: You can stand on air! (Sorta.) You basically stand on the forcefield and you don't fall off! Force Field Health: Twelve Full Player Hearts

Upgrade 4: COST: 33XP: Magma Travel MK1: You are able to go under lava and not burn, The TARDIS now follows you when you move when the forcefield is active (You can toggle this setting using a GUI, either on or off in the settings, meaning that the TARDIS can't follow you even when the forcefield is on). Force Field Health: Fifteen Full Player Hearts +1 Heart per three seconds (0.3 hearts per second) Costs a pinch of fuel...

FINAL Upgrade: COST: 40XP: Projectile Protection MK3: The projectiles bounce back to your enemy! Useful for a lot of archers/Daleks surrounding you!

Force Field Health: Seventeen Full Player Hearts +3 Hearts per five seconds (1.6 hearts per second) Cost a little bit of fuel...

Limit:

Limit is sorta like overclocking a CPU, going into it's maximum performance.

Basically, this tree focuses on FUEL!

Here are some stuff:

[EDIT: Now I think upgrades should expand the tank. Like in the DEFAULT, you only go up to an hour?]

DEFAULT: Coal: Gives fifteen minutes of flight per piece!

Charcoal: Gives fourteen minutes of flight per piece!

Wood objects: Gives five minutes of flight per block/item!

Upgrade 1: COST: 10XP: [+Lava are now a fuel source!]

[-Wood objects are no longer a fuel source! D:]

Coal: Gives eighteen minutes of flight per piece!

Charcoal: Gives sixteen minutes of flight per piece!

Lava: Gives thirty minutes of flight per bucket!

FINAL Upgrade: COST: 15XP: [+Zetion-7 Crystals/Blocks are now a fuel source!]

Coal: Gives twenty minutes of flight per piece!

Charcoal: Gives sixteen minutes of flight per piece!

Lava:  Gives thirty-five of flight per bucket!

Zetion-7 (Crystal): Gives twenty-five minutes of flight per piece!

Zetion-7 (Block): Gives a WHOLE hour of flight per block!

[SECRET JOKE UPGRADE]: COST: 1XP: [-Adds gold and credits as a fuel source!]

                                                              [-Removes everything else]

Gold (Ingot): Gives ten minutes of flight per ingot!

Gold (Block): Gives twenty minutes of flight per block!

DMU Credit: Gives two minutes of flight per item!

Functions:

This next one basically adds functions to the existing TARDIS cosmetic switches.

DEFAULT: +Dematerialization Lever

+TARDIS Travel Panel/GUI (idk anymore lmao)

Upgrade 1: COST: 6XP: +Adds a danger meter (whenever it it is safe to go outside or not)

+Adds a Edustries-branded ForceField Life Meter (Shows the current HP for the Forcefield)

+Adds access for [WIP] Tardis Panel

Upgrade 2: COST: 10XP: +Adds a day-night manipulator (what time you arrive in..)

+Adds access to TARDIS Flight Panel

Upgrade 3: COST: 18XP: +Granted access to a pinpoint switch, which enables whenever to land exactly on the coords

+Granted a special monitor which could use special commands for the TARDIS? (Maybe transfer sonic screwdriver data to another screwdriver? idk, suggest something if you'd like)

FINAL Upgrade!: COST: 22XP: +Granted access to a Battle TARDIS chameleon circuit skin and mode? (click here for reference) (If used, it sucks up flight energy, bigger attacks cost more. For example: Level 1 Time Torpedoes could cost a minute's worth of flight energy?)

                                                                +Access to TARDIS Weapon shop

These are all of the things that I was thinking of! If anyone has any ideas for this Leveling-Up system, I totally support it! (I clearly didn't add much to 'Functions' :P)

Edit Log #1: Oh noes I forgot the DEFAULT section in the Functions section. Better fix that :P

Edit Log #2: I'll finish up my suggested functions tree if John or any of the SWD Team sees this. (It would be an honor :D)

*Claps* For a first post, you have definitely impressed me (I'm still reading, but the overall organization and clear amount of thought put into this is looking great so far).

And yes, Trenzalore and Gallifrey are planned to be ported to 1.8 and readded to 1.7.10.

By the way, is the XP player XP or some unstated value?

Thank you very much! :D

Player XP was originally what I thought of..

(Alright, I just finished reading. I love it!)

Player XP was originally my thought..

So I'm assuming the values given are XP levels?

Yes. Sorry for not giving enough detail.. :P

I really like this idea, especially the using of experience for upgrading the TARDIS. It's a bit like in the show where it is stated that a Time Lord has to first [something] [something] to the TARDIS to get it to operate (I haven't watched the Three Doctors in so long I can't remember exactly what happens). The player using their experience points on the TARDIS is a pretty good in game comparison to this, at least, in my opinion. I also like how some upgrades would be rather difficult, considering that the player also needs experience for enchanting and repairing.

I also really like the forcefield having health and the different upgrades for it. Does the health on the force field regenerate naturally overtime, or does it have to be repaired (sorry if I overlooked this)?

Sorry for not giving enough detail! The health regenerates overtime naturally, but for a penalty of -20 seconds to -1 minute of flight time? I haven't really thought of it now that you mentioned it.. XD
