TARDIS Personality?

Have you always thought that the TARDIS in Dalek Mod didn't have a personality like the actual series? Have you thought that.. you wanted more from your TARDIS?

Well, I've got a solu-..I mean suggestion for you! I've squeezed all of my thoughts from my brain cells and came up with this:

TARDIS Personality!

Your TARDIS will be more unique hooray for that

Basically, your TARDIS will be more personal with you and stuff.. (and will do some pointless crap)

Your TARDIS can have a common personality trait, here are some examples I thought of:

Playful: Your TARDIS will be more of a child rather than a time machine. The TARDIS can refuse to go to certain locations for a random amount of time,  randomly materialize and dematerialize at random points, can basically remove all functionality for a few minutes, and will refuse to travel anywhere with lava, water, mobs, high cliffs, etc. But, this personality has the highest trust level out of all of the personalities that I thought of rn. I thought that maybe this TARDIS can blow more steam outta the grates than usual when you stand on it for too long.

Stiff: Your TARDIS will be at the highest peak and will obey your commands. The TARDIS will be more trusting with her buttons. The TARDIS will rarely refuse to do anything. When it does, however, it will take forever to let it be used again. This personality has medium trust level. This TARDIS will normally feel like the TARDIS we have in the current updates (U45-U46TB1).

Stubborn: Your TARDIS is like an average old man: it questions things and needs medication. This TARDIS will be the most stubborn out of these three I thought of.  It will consistently ask you for random materials (within reason), like an iron ingot or a Zetion-7 Crystal. These TARDISes will land EXACTLY at the coords you ask it to do.  These TARDISes have medium trust level.

please suggest more personalities! :D (with the name, description, and explanation)

Now, I've been stating 'THESE TARDISESDS HAVE AMZISANG TRUST WITH YOU!@@@@@@,' but what does that mean? Is it a variable?

Well, let me tell you! :D

TRUST

Trust can be measured by a bar/meter..

From:

(==I===============I===============I==)

Left: It doesn't trust you at all.. :P

Middle: It has enough trust..

Right: WOW I TRUST YOU ALOT HOLD MY DIARY

This can determine some 'payloads' that can happen with your TARDIS:

For example, my TARDIS thinks I'm absolute trash! Here are some side-effects:

(90%) Won't demat/remat when needed too

(90%) Won't travel to the right planet

(60%) Won't travel to the right X coord

(55%) Won't travel to the right Y coord

(45%) Won't travel to the right Z coord

(65%) Will shutdown for 1-3 minutes

(78%) Will shutdown for 20-50 seconds

you get the idea.. (suggest some payloads pls)

Here is some amateur markings for where the personality and meter would go..:

i wanted to hide my coords sorry

That's basically all I have! Thanks for reading! :D If you have any suggestions to make this suggestion better, post down in the thread..

[Personality Suggestion]

Considerate:

 Rarity: 1% (Super Rare)

The TARDIS is willing to do anything you ask it to do, but when faced with dangerous circumstances, the TARDIS would question or judge your decision. E.g. You want to materialise the TARDIS at a mob-infested zone, the TARDIS would worry if you could handle the situation, so it may dematerialise a hundred blocks away from the area.

Its trust would go down if you often overestimate your ability and die a lot or decrease when you don't use the TARDIS now and then.

Default Trust Level: Medium to High

 Adventurous

 Rarity: Rare

Description: The TARDIS doesn't care about you, it only goes exploring and ignores your orders.

Actions: It rarely materialises where you want it to be, often goes to cliffs and near lava etc.

 Trust Level: Low to Medium

Umm, this is for golds suggestion, not yours. Anyway I really like this idea, it would be good for people who don't treat there tardis right, also instead of  the red stuff the screen could go static and be really hard to press buttons.

Trav, he did ask for more suggestions.

I do like the suggestion, but maybe an admin command could be used to override it (Maybe just a command in general, like /tardis-interior-pos more than /dalek-mod or something). Some people wouldn't like this sort of thing, or could find it annoying for RPs and such

This is an awesome suggestion, I really like it!

But like Dhi said maybe their could be some over ride command or something.

[Personality Suggestion]

Angry:

Rarity: depends on how reckless you are

If you take your TARDIS to too many dangerous places, like cliffs,  mob infested areas,  the nether,  etc,  it will basically shut down for a while and refuse to listen to you period,  not allowing you to do anything with the control panel. during this time it may randomly take you somewhere and even has the chance of dropping you off,  dematerializing without you.  but after the few minutes of its little rampage has gone it will either return to you or come back when you call it with your key.    If you try to call your tardis while its in this state,  you'll get a red error message like "your tardis is too angry at you"   or "your tardis is on a rampage"

Default Trust Level: none to meduim

I'm here reading these suggestions and I'm like

They want to kill John with these hard to code features don't they..

Nice suggestion either way

The red stuff was because I wanted to hide my coords from stalkers :P

I agree.. There should be an item in the game that could override the personalities and act like the current behavio(u)r, but it would be expensive

*Drops the chocolate bar I was holding*

I don't think I've ever seen a better suggestion on these forums. Kudos to you, and I really hope to see this in the mod.

Thank you very much! :D I do hope that this is somehow implemented as well..

I'm not sure what I think on this idea, but I did come up with a personality type:

EVIL

Trust level: none.

Rarity: Ultra rare 1/10000

TARDISes with this personality trait will attempt to kill you. They might drain all the air from their interiors, or dump you in Lava. Travel around looking for players and attempt to lure them inside themselves so they can kill them off.

Show content
Possible side idea: The only players they'll operate properly for are players who have killed 1 million passive mobs (e.g,cows, sheep) and/or players. Note: any hostile mobs killed = a -1 from that players overall evil score.
