Name of Feature: Regeneration
Description: I know, I know, this is probably one of the most requested things on here, but hear me out, I don't think this exact idea has been suggested yet. When you're dying and at 3 hearts be it from fall damage, injuries from attacks or hunger or poison etc. you will start to regenerate to a new skin maybe one of the Doctor, your health and hunger will regenerate, you get the regeneration, fire resistance and water breathing effects for about 3 minutes after regenerating and all other effects that are bad will be removed if you have any. Obviously, there's going to be normal regeneration artron energy effect as you regenerate. You've got a maximum of 12 regenerations and 13 bodies like in the program, if you're killed before you make it to the next body you will die completely and have to respawn. So as long as you've got three hearts to half a heart you can regenerate otherwise you die and will respawn. You will get a choice to regenerate with a key-bind of "y" and "n" when you're at the point of regeneration when a message in chat asks if you want to regenerate and to press "y" or "n" for yes or no. If you press "y" you regenerate if you press "n" then you won't and you'll have to heal normally or die. If you heal normally then you're going to be fine until your next time you get to the point of regeneration and then you get asked to choose again. After you run out of regenerations and get to the point of regeneration the message won't come up in chat and you're forced to either heal normally or die, once you die you will respawn with a message in chat asking if you want to buy a new cycle of regenerations and it will be at a price of 5 diamonds.
Lore/Brief Background: A time lord can regenerate to stay alive when their body is too damaged to keep going.
How does this affect gameplay: It means you can stay alive more by regenerating but it also adds an element of management over your regenerations and having to be careful in the game because of the limited regenerations because after you run out you are forced to heal normally or die when you get to the point of regeneration.

Any other information: Until Gallifrey is readded you will get a chat prompt to buy a brand new cycle of regenerations when you respawn after dying for 5 diamonds. Once Gallifrey is added you've got to go to Gallifrey and get a new cycle of regenerations. But, you will keep respawning when you die until you get the new cycle of regenerations from Gallifrey.
*Suggested by @drwhofan11* If you've got half a heart you're too damaged to regenerate and you've either got to wait and heal to two-three hearts or die depending on what's going on you might not get the chance to heal and then die this is for any form of damage taken which could render you unable to regenerate from lack of time or life energy as it slowly but surely ebbs away from your ever weakening body, or heals until you're at two hearts and can regenerate.
Let me know what you think and other ideas for this.
Only part of this I don't like is the brand new cycle after dying fully part. Yeah, having to get a new cycle via Gallifrey is something that can't happen until Gallifrey is back, but maybe regenerating shouldn't happen until Gallifrey is back so it links in.

Yeah, this is a good idea. Bit like the skinpacks: You will respawn after death with the same skin as 1st body, but further the skins completely random. I like it.

Actually, they can. 5 died to poison in Caves of Androzani. I think the poison River used was a special one that completely kills Timelords. Either that or 11 couldn't Regenerate because he was on his last life.
The only things I can think of that should kill the player completely are 1) the Void and 2) Lava. Since when have Timelords been resistant to being burned alive? Perhaps Regeneration might also not be possible if too much damage has been taken. Like, if something did 200 damage to me, I doubt I'd be able to Regenerate. Those are just my ideas though.

Ehm.. I have made a similar post just not written the same.. Quite a time ago. Called Timelord mode like Hardcore but you regenerate so Hardcore with 12 chances. Go ahead and read it and you will find it very similar (And btw 1WTC have written before its being worked on but it will take time so play the waiting game)
Just my opinion, but I feel regenerations should have some cost to obtain, given how uncommon it is to gain new cycles in the show and how it could make the player immortal if used right. Other than that, I like the suggestion for a decision on whether or not to regenerate and that it triggers at a certain value.
Bump, Added the suggestion by @drwhofan111 about a thing of being too damaged to regenerate and I've also added a price to a new regeneration cycle until Gallifrey is added at least, as suggested by Arc.
Great suggestion, quite useful for people who like changing their skins a lot (like me)
Im not to fond of using diamonds as payment, it sounds a bit weird for Doctor Who. But thats just my opinion
Maybe to lower you are on HP the slower you regenerate?
For example. 3 Hearts = 7 seconds, 1 Heart = 12 seconds? It's just going along with the idea of being too weak to regenerate :P

Maybe make it so you can set certain skins to regenerate into, and the default ones would be The Doctor's

I've seen a mod called HeroesExpansion by a guy called lucraft, that has an implemented karma feature, look it up in curseforge if you are interested. Maybe when gallifrey returns you will need to go to the high council, and they will decide whether to grant you a regen or not depending on your karma
