To answer your question though, Private doesn't go by ranks. It checks to see if you own beta access before joining. You could own any rank and still not have access if you don't own Beta.

Actually I make the recipes. I didn't bother making recipes for every single coral, copper, toyota etc etc control because there's just so many which would make it impossible for each to have their own recipe. Maybe one day, but for now, they'll be added to the shop at a later date.

Could a copy of the map for the old server perhaps be made available online so that we can continue to play in it on our own as a singleplayer map?

No, this was answered three times now. We can't put it up for download since the world file is massive.
He is trying to say that parts of the world would corrupt and change height as mojang do this with bug fixes within the game... Plus the world's are infinite there is no end to the terrian making it crash when you reach the newest terrain type within the game.
