Yep. Unfortunately after a lot of discussion we've agreed that a world reset is in order for Update 50. This wasn't an easy decision to come to, however we all agree that it has to be done.
The current DMU Public world sits at almost 100GB. We only have around 15GB of free storage space left on our server machine... Therefore we decided it would be best to reset the public map and with the new one include a world border. This should prevent the map from growing too large and reduce the need for a reset in the future.
The reset will occur when U50 comes out.

Not to worry. Staff came to an agreement that players may request one build to be saved.

Please note. Staff make the final decision on whether they deem a build worthy of being saved. Therefore we will not be saving default interiors, small wooden houses etc.
All DMU Store items are re-credited to you upon reset, you'll be able to run /accept-items again and receive them back.
The only other thing which will be reset along with the map is your in game balance and inventory. Everything else (ranks, titles, nicknames etc) will remain.

A definite date has yet to be decided but as it stands it’s around July 17th 2019. However this is not set in stone and can be changed. We will keep you up to date.
What will the general world size be? I have a concern that once the full map is discovered, the resources such as steel and Sonic crystals will quickly disappear from caves and similar areas.

That is yet to be decided. The finer details are still being sorted but we will let you know when we know

Currently that is yet to be determined. I think that will be discussed in the next few days but we will keep everyone updated.
Will our ender chests be reset as well?
Yes. Everything on the server will be reset except for ranks and nicknames.

You can't have any items in your chests. It's just to save what you've build.
just going to add: if you place items in your chests when we save a build for re-construction those items will NOT be copied into the schematic as only the actually blocks will be copied.
