Canon Daleks

Canon Dalek 1- Marsh Dalek

Spawning: Swampy Areas

Details: Mostly they have the same AI as Daleks, just altered due to the fact that they have legs

Canon Dalek 2- Humanised Daleks

Image Above: Alpha. He along with Beta and Omega (not the Time Lord) were the first three humanised Daleks.

As Seen in: Evil of the Daleks and Children of the Revolution

Lore:

I actually had a shortened summary here for your convenience which I put a LOT of effort into, but I've lost the heart to retype it. I may re add it a bit later. This bug happened.

For now, I'll just link you to the wiki page. here

Spawning: Humanised Dalek Villages/Settlements

Behavior:

  • These Daleks are generally friendly, unlike the normal ones
  • Child Minded Humanised Daleks
    • They are playful and may sometimes do the following things from time to time
      • Spin around in place
      • Chase other Humanised Daleks around in some form of Dalek Tag
      • Other things that I forgot but were lost due to a forum bug
      • Maybe a few other things
  • Veteran Humanised Daleks
    • These are the Daleks who took part in the Dalek CIvil War
      • Some may have damaged Shells, sometimes even missing parts such as a light or two, or the gunstick.
        • The Daleks without gunsticks cannot fire at anything
  • Normal Humanised Daleks/General Humanised Daleks
    • They do not attack anything unless attacked first
      • However they can sometimes recognize Non-Humanised Daleks from a distance, and if they approach with hostile intents (the Humanised Daleks would be able to tell if they are), the Humanised Daleks will fire at them
    • They will act a lot like Vanilla Villagers in some ways
      • They tend to wander about in their villages, sometimes going indoors or outdoors
      • Sometimes two Humanised Daleks may stop and turn to look at eachother. This is the Socialising Behavior seen in villagers.
        • They will stare at eachother, some mob, or a player for a few seconds at a time sometimes
  • Merchant Humanised Daleks
    • I thought it would be cool if there was a Dalek that sold stuff. What kind of stuff? Well, it's WIP, but they will NOT sell gunsticks or any other kind of weapon (as their nature is not naturally hostile)

Original text was lost due to the afore mentioned bug..... I'll re add more a bit later :/

Canon Dalek 3- Alternate Universe Spider Daleks

As Seen in: Fire and Brimstone

Spawning: Minecraft Xbox (Since they are from an Alternate Universe)

Spawn Rate: Undecided

Forms: "Active" and "dormant"

Inspired By: The Speilburg/Amblin Dalek scrapped during the development of the Doctor Who the TV Movie seen here

Details: I'll have more in a bit once I can find more information on this Dalek

Canon Dalek 4- Spider Degredations

Spawning: The Overworld

As seen in: Engines of War

Appearance: They were egg-shaped and moved on three spider-like legs. Their casing was red with black globes and they were armed with four energy weapons.

Sources: Tardis wiki Skaro Degredations and Tardis Wiki Spider Daleks

Canon Dalek 5- Striders

Spawning: The Overworld

As seen in: Engines of War

Lore: Striders are a variant of the Main Universe's Spider Daleks.

The Main Universe's Spider Daleks (not to be confused with Spider Degredations) have 8 legs, are slightly larger than a Dalek Drone, and are more manueverable than Standard Daleks but are Weaker at the Joints.

Striders are just these Daleks, but 10 times Larger.

Any other information:

This could probably be a miniboss or just a really strong mob.

Likely, I won't suggest the normal variant. Having it as well as the Spider Degredation would be a bit redundant

Canon Dalek 5- Mutant Phase Dalek

Origin/Lore:

In an alternate Timeline, a Dalek (whose shell had recieved damage due to weapon fire) had a parasitic wasp go inside its casing and into its body.

This Dalek was taken back and inspected. The Daleks managed to put together a cure, however this cure did not help and the infection spread throughout the Dalek Population.

These Daleks, with genetic material from wasps began breaking from their shells and accelerate in growth.

"Its ultimate form was that of a large insectoid creature with metallic wings. These creatures were capable of absorbing energy and laying waste to entire planets in large swarms.

During the transformation, the higher brain functions of the Dalek are lost and the resulting creature works through primal instincts only. This meant that they were a swarm of mindless destructive beasts that consumed whole civilisations and laid waste to the universe. While the Daleks were described as evil incarnate, the Mutant Phase was deemed as a threat that was far more dangerous. "

The Daleks were so desparate, they enlisted the Doctor's Assistance in an efort to prevent this transformation from ever having even happened to begin with

-Source: Tardis Wiki Mutant Phase

Biology/Appearance: The mutation affected the Dalek mutant itself. The mutation started with a gestation period indicated by disorientation, after which the Dalek mutant broke through its own battle armour and began to grow at an accelerated rate. Its ultimate form was that of a large insectoid creature with metallic wings. These creatures were capable of absorbing energy and laying waste to entire planets in large swarms.

Canon Dalek 6- Glass Dalek

As seen in: Engines of War and Revelation of the Daleks

Spawning: Glass Dalek Platforms

Behavior:

  • The mob is immobile and unable to attack, but will alert Daleks of your presence.
  • After a time Frame, it will become an Imperial Dalek and move off its platform.
    • The Dalek will then be replaced by another Glass Dalek
  • Every now and then, it may weakly moan "Ex....ter...minate..." or "Help me...."

Lore: Glass Daleks were first used by Davros in order to build up his own Dalek Army (In this Time Period, Daleks only served Daleks, not Davros. So he needed a new force loyal to him). They were also used by the Daleks in the Last Great Time War (in this instance, they were used as foot soldiers and cannon fodders. They were viewed as inferior to the Dalek Race Purity and only existed to be expent as material in war).

A glass Dalek is a kind of incubator that mutates human heads into Dalek Mutants.

 Canon Dalek 7- Glider Dalek

Appearance: Glider Daleks were a Skaro Degradation used in the Last Great Time War which travelled by hovering above the ground. The Kaled mutant, resembling a limbless humanoid torso, was housed in a reinforced glass casing suspended under a regular-looking Dalek dome. They had arms and energy weapons flanking them on either side

-Tardis Wiki

Spawning: Undetermined

Canon Dalek 8- Dalek City Daleks

.Fully described in this thread here (link)

Canon Dalek 9- 2005 Non-Asylum Daleks (suggested by NexusVanguard and textured by TheHeroOfTime99)

Canon Dalek 10- Pyro Dalek

Description: Unlike your usual Dalek, these Dalek will spout fire from their manipulator arms. They will use these to burn any living creature in their paths and will try to set fire to anything between themselves and a player.

Spawning:

  • Anywhere the usual Dalek can spawn. Look out if they're in Jungles though. It can get dangerous.
  • There's a max cap that can spawn in a region

Attacks:

  • Flamethrower

Canon Dalek 11- Torch Dalek Or Steel/Door Cutting Dalek

As Seen in:

  • Planet of the Daleks (serial)
  • The Daleks (serial)
  • Dr. Who and the Daleks (Dalek Film)

Details: To be added a bit later

Canon Dalek 12- Bullet Dalek aka the Low Tech Dalek

As seen in: Death to the Daleks

Origin: A group of Daleks were once stranded on a planet, and they found that something (tbh... I forgot what) what messing with their technology. They were unable to use their beam distributors so they decided to go a bit lower tech

Attacks:

  • Gunfire (Can be seen in the video below around 3:25)
    • Less powerful than the Dalek Beam Distributor
    • The bullet flies much faster than a laser
    • There is less cooldown between shots
    • The bullets have a piercing effect and will fly through a certain amount of mobs and will also pierce transparent blocks
    • It might shatter glass

Canon Dalek 13- Time Detecting Dalek

Suggested by: drwhofan111

Spawning: Anywhere other Daleks can spawn

As Seen in: The Chase

Abilities: Can detect Tardises and guard them (if a player approaches they will attack). They may attack Tardises as well

Canon Dalek 14- Renegade Special Weapons Dalek

Suggested by: drwhofan111

Spawning: Anywhere other Daleks can spawn

As Seen in: Emperor of the Daleks

Abilities: Same as the Imperial already in the mod

Notes: This Dalek (rather than being sided with the Imperials) is sided with the renegades, and it will attack any Imperials it sees

Canon-ish Daleks and Scrapped Daleks

Canon-ish Dalek 1- Hayakawa Dalek AKA Japanese Daleks

Spawning: They sometimes spawn in the Overworld. In Pocket Edition, they practically replace normal Daleks in terms of Commonality.

As Seen in: The  Artwork for a few Target Doctor Who Novels that underwent Japanese Localization

Origin: According to Wikipedia and this page I found, it could have been for the following reasons, but no specific one is given

  • The artist may have lacked source material
  • They may have not been allowed to use the proper image
  • The artist may have basically been given permission to do whatever he wanted

However you feel this came to be, it exists, and I'm suggesting it

Is it canon?: Well, it's really a completely opinion based matter, and it depends on how you look at it. In terms of Doctor who as English Speakers see it, likely not.

Details:

  • They are no different from normal Daleks except in appearance.
  • They shout in Japanese rather than English, if the Team is willing to do this

NonCanon Dalek 2- 1988 Dalek Redesign aka "The Heavy Armory/Arsenal Dalek"

Validity?:  The image wasn't actually ever submitted to BBC though as far as I'm aware, so I don't think it was actually ever considered by the Doctor Who Production crew.  The  Design, however, was created by the person who originally created the Design of the Daleks, saying that if he were to design the Daleks in the day he was asked, this design was the design he would. It depends on what you consider. Do you go with the ideas of the original designer or with BBC? Either way, I love the Design, and I'm suggesting it.

Real World Origin: In 1989 Doctor Who Magazine asked Ray Cusick (the guy who came up with the original design for the Daleks (which is still mostly in use today, with relatively few minor changes)) to draw a Dalek as he would have "today" (I mean 1989). This was the result.

Function (My Interpretation of it):

  • These Daleks are very special Daleks
  • Much like the Special Weapons Dalek, these Daleks only come out in Dire Circumstances
  • They are in a VERY experimental stage and VERY taxing on resources to create, so it's not a Dalek type produced too often.
  • They have perhaps some of the thickest shells of all Daleks

Spawning:

  • Overworld (at a lower rate than Standard Daleks)
  • A few Dalek Generated Structures

Abilities:

  • It is able to "fishing rod" onto mobs and pull them closer
  • It can capture mobs and drag them somewhere using their wire
  • Firing energy blasts from its gunstick
  • Ramming the player and knocking him or her back if close
  • If they fall on a mob, they will cause a lot of damage due to how heavy they are.
  • They will whip at the player or try to "fishing rod" him or her to the front if he or she is behind the Dalek.
  • They will try to always face their Targets

Statistics:

  • Defense: Much higher than your standard Dalek
  • Speed: They are pretty darn heavy, so they don't really move that fast.
  • Acceleration Rate: Poor. They take longer slowing down if they are somehow moving at a high speed (which should really only happen with ice) and they take longer speeding up than most other Daleks
  • Health: They have a bit more than the Standard Dalek

NonCanon Dalek 3- Lego Dimensions Dalek

Spawning: Undecided

Drops: Plastic. Maybe Lego bricks (which will be usable to create a Lego Police Box (non Tardis). Details on that later)

 Original Daleks

Original Dalek 1- Marsh Special Weapons Dalek

Spawning: Swampy Areas

Description: A Marsh Dalek equipped with firepower similar to a Special Weapons Dalek

Spawn Egg Item Lore: Pray that you never meet this Dalek in survival.

Behavior: See Marsh Dalek

Attacks: Special Weapons Cannon (This is a filer name. I'll see if it has a real one)

Abilities: This Dalek, having a higher position of fire than the normal Special weapons Dalek has a greater range and is less likely to blow itself up

Spawn Rate: Pretty low. Hope that you never run into one when traveling in a swamp

Original Dalek 2- Dalek Turret

 Suggested by: Arcphoenix

Spawning: Dalek Structures

Lore:

No Dalek is more angry than a Dalek Turret. They are utterly irritated and very mad. They're insane and are just always waiting for something to lash out at.

They live their entire lives stuck in one place and are unable to move.

If it wasn't for their inhibiting gene, they'd likely open fire on other Daleks

 (Lore is WIP)

Appearance (No image at the moment, but I plan to draw one):

These Daleks come in two variants. Standing, and built-in.

  • The Standing Turrets resemble the typical Dalek, however there are some aesthetic diffrences
    • Their Dalekanium Bumps are not where they usually are (described further below)
    • Their Casing is Cylindral rather than Decagonal (or whatever you'd call it)
    • Their slats are not where they are normally (described further below)
    • They have two gun sticks, and they are further to the Daleks' sides
    • Their casing cuts off at a point, going down from the top. The Dalek is held up by a pole on a base.
      • Towards the base  of the pole, there are slats with Dalekanium bumps
  • I'll add details on the built in variant a bit later

Movement: These Daleks are immobile

Original Dalek 3- Flying Suicide Dalek

From an idea by: Acediajc

Description (by Arcphoenix): These Daleks are made to kill the player. One way or the other. When this Dalek was designed, it was made to kill. Manage to dodge its lasers? It'll explode  at close range. Try to go up stairs or a cliff? This Dalek can fly. The only thing it can't really do is take high temperature.  Or aquatic ventures.

Spawning rate:

  • Rate: Incredibly Rare
  • Density: 2-3 per pack
  • Location: Any
  • Alternate Conditions: Could perhaps be a boss minion

Attacks:

  • Beam Distributer
  • Melee
  • Explosion

Mobility:

  • Flight
  • Ground

Original Dalek 4- Flying Special Weapons Dalek

From an idea by: 50ap5ud5

Mob Analysis:

Some people say that nothing is more horrifying than a flying Dalek.

Some people feel the most horrible thing is a Special Weapons Dalek.

Those people don't have the least clue what Davros has been putting together behind the scenes lately.

Flying Special Weapons Daleks are rolling, or flying around as a composite of both of these on a test run.

Their training target? You

Mobility: Flight and ground

Spawn Rate: Extremely Rare.

Spawn Density: Sometimes, at a low percentage, a few flying non-Special Weapons Daleks will spawn alongside it (1-3)

More will be added soon. If anyone has any Daleks they'd like to suggest (whether canon or completely original), I'll add them.

To be added soon:

  1. Dalek X
  2. Dalek Emperor from Evil of the Daleks
  3. Emperor's Personal guard from Evil of the Daleks
  4. Psyche Dalek
  5. Imperial Emperor Dalek (maybe)

I've added many Daleks to the thread. More details coming soon on each

I think that there should be a Non-Asylum 2005 dalek.

 Do you have a picture?

Ok. Thanks. I've wanted these type of daleks for months.

Ok. Thanks. I've wanted these type of daleks for months.

It's basically a Dalek reskin right? Or should I add a few details?

I've added pyro Daleks and Torch Daleks.

Details on the latter will be added later on today

Lego Dimensions Daleks, Turret Daleks, and Death to the Daleks "Low Tech" Daleks have been added

I actually have a skin for 2005 non-asylums I made for an API Dalek. Do you want it, or should I create my own suggestion thread to re-add the Time War Dalek with my skin?
