Why you were banned: Griefing the Server, as stated in the ban

Ban duration: Permanent Ban

What were you doing last on the server: I was tearing down what I believed to be abandoned works on the server. I did not know that these buildings would still being used, nor did I think that these buildings would be used in the future on the server. I was tearing up and remolding back the ground and trying to clean up the area left behind so that other people could build on it in the future.

Why you think you should be pardoned early (Please keep this factual. We understand you are sorry that you got banned so please stick with the facts): I did not know that what I was tearing up was being lived in, or important to be left behind. If the ban is lifted, I will cease my actions, and even help start to rebuild what I tore down if necessary.

Apparently its still griefing no matter if its abandoned or not. I saw someone with this exact issue and the staff still refuse to write the rules in more detail. Nowhere in the rules does it say you cant grief abandoned bases. They should really put it in the rules as a lot of people break abandoned buildings. Also its kind of common sense that you don't destroy abandoned buildings as for eg. Ambient City is practically abandoned so would you go and destroy ambient city? No. Its to complicated to know whether its still being used or not. So here is what I recommend for next time.

Step 1. Leave signs for the owner of the land to find asking if its abandoned. If the signs are still there in a month then you can go to step 2 if not then there is nothing you can do.

Step 2. Check with the owner of the town where the "abandoned" building is located (The owner of the town that the building is in) and get their permission to take ownership.

Step 3. After you have done step 1 and 2 just to be safe talk to an admin and explain what you have done and what you plan to do.

Step 4. If step 1,2 and 3 are go then go ahead and take ownership of the plot.

NOTE: That is ONLY a rule for buildings in cities and towns and is not the rules for bases outside of Towns/Cities. If the base you are taking about is outside of a city/town then their is nothing you can do about it. Even if they don't respond to your messages its still griefing.

PS: I am not an admin, I am just passing on what an admin said to me. But to not get banned for griefing abandoned stuff follow my steps.
